By the end of the day, my face is clearly zapped of moisture. Last year at this time, I blamed my dry face on being the Southwest (dry climate), but I鈥檓 home in MO this year and it鈥檚 back so I realize it鈥檚 just me.
In the morning, I wash my face with St. Ives Sensitive Apricot Scrub and use Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock under my makeup, and Murad Anti-Acne Facewash and Skin Perfecting Lotion at night. I鈥檝e tried using the Murad lotion %26amp; Neutrogena Sunscreen in the morning, but my face ends up greasy. Last year, I gave something from Korres a try (don鈥檛 know the name, but it came in a jar), but that didn鈥檛 work either. I also tried switching from the Murad anti-acne to the Murad combination facewash because it鈥檚 less drying. Still not enough.
My skin is sensitive and lots of products make me itch and break out. I drink tons of water every day, but I can鈥檛 seem to find a morning product. Any ideas?
Dry winter skin 鈥?recommend moisturizer w/sunscreen?
OMG! I had this problem too (weird, I also use Murad facial stuff and Neutrogena moisturizer)!!!
Here's what I did:
1) Even though I had some mild acne, I stopped using treatments for a week and sued only cleanser and moisturizer at night. (my skin actually cleared up a bit too!)
2) I used Neutrogena Visibly Even moisturizer with SPF 15 in it, and used a foundation primer (even on days where I didn't wear foundation it still smooths skin).
3) Drink plenty of water and exfoliate the dead skin regularly (if your skin is really flakey do it every night or every other night, try Noxzema Daily Exfoliating Cleanser it works great for getting rid of dead skin)
Good luck! Dry skin sucks!!!!!!!!!

I have the same thing. I find that Vaseline white petroleum jelly is best.

Reply:Try Aveeno products. They have a daytime moisture w/spf that I put on after I wash my face and before and sometimes even after make up. It leaves your face super soft and all there products are for sensitive skin
Reply:Curel. LOVE IT and so does everyone I have ever recommended it to. I use it on my face and body.
Reply:try something with oatmeal which works as a natural itchy skin relief, like Aveeno Daily moisturizer..as far as an SPF you can always mix it in with the lotion.
Other good winter itch creams are Gold Bond, Sarna and Eucerin
Reply:Good old Oil of Olay. It's SPF 15 and has a sensitive version.
Reply:take a multivitamin daily and increase your fluid intake-that will help keep your skin well hydrated and balnced. Drink fluids like gatorade-or juice's with vitamin C-that wil help alot more than all the money youre spending to fix it externally. Good Luck!
Reply:Sounds kinda kooky, but Palmers Shea Butter, I slather it all over my face before bed, and I wake up with soft, glowing skin.
Reply:vaseline for dry skin with moisturiseer and sunscreen. it smells a bit queer though
Reply:There's this body lotion that I've been using for quite some time now and I really like it. It's from Avon, Moisture Therapy body lotion for extremely dry skin. It's a white bottle with blue cap and blue letters. I use it all over my body. If you don't know of an Avon rep you can go to avon.com and see all their skin products. My sister uses several of them and she really likes them. Except in her case it's oily skin not dry like mine.
I'm even using it on my tummy right now that I'm pregnant to help with the stretch marks........so far ...none!
Reply:Clinique's yellow lotion works wonders. It's called Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. They've been selling it for decades. It's a tried and true formula that works wonders. They call it a moisture "drink" for your skin. Try it!!! It's amazing!
Reply:I'm not sure which one is the best, but don't use vaseline - it will make you break out badly if you have sensitive skin.
Reply:Clinique and Estee Lauder have sensitive skin lines if that's something you would like to choose. They are a little pricier, but you only have one face, so you might as well take care of it.
Otherwise I have heard that Aveeno might be nice as well.
