Getting Rid of Wrinkles Under Eyes with Contacts?

I really do not want to boast but i feel i have a nice area around my eyes. im a guy, ha. no wrinkles or anything like that, nor bags under my eyes. I recently began wearing contacts and i know that the skin around my eyes is the most delicate on a body and i feel somehow that these contacts are the cause of the new 2 or 3 small lines under my eyes. Whats a great way to get rid of these? I've been getting ample amounts of sleep. The only problems with these lines that might contribute is the contacts situation, putting them on and taking them off everyday or these rare occasions in which i pull allnighter's studying for exams in college drinking Monster Energy Drinks. This is the first time something like this is happening, please help?

I wear contacts too and I notice that I do pull down on the skin under my eye when inserting my contacts. I have also noticed an increase in fine lines under my eyes too, but hadn't even thought about this being the cause. I started using Firming Eye Cream from Mary Kay. It works wonders! I wouldnt go a day without using it! You can find it here:

When you put in your contacts, be careful not to stretch that skin too much. Also, you may want to start using an eye-specific moisturizer with retinol in it, such as ROC.
Reply:Use a moisturizer under your eyes. I prefer Woody's, it is an aftershave moisturizer that also gets rid of wrinkles and/or dark circles under the eyes. It is made by Crew but any moisturizer should help you with that problem.
Reply:Are you serious? Get over yourself!!!!

Skin Tags?

I have about 20 wart type things under my armpits on one and about 4 on the other and i have some like on my chest and they look alot like skin tags they keep popping up i think there are to much to be warts i don't know if they are though they are like my color skin and they look like a mole are they skin tags?
Skin Tags?
Dylan H I have had a lot os skin tags, I had one under my arm that looked like I had a testicle sack growing there. I finally had it removed. I was going to leave it until it got bigger and have it transplanted where my testicles was as I lost them and my bag from an accident really ! But the wife couldn't stand looking at it ,and it did irritate me, so I had it removed with a bunch of others. I am willing to say these are skin tags you have, and they are removed right in the dr's office with very little pain involved. The one under my arm was the worst where it was so large. I still get them, and I thought it was from my testosterone shots I take. But maybe not now that you have posted this. In any case I hope this has been of value to you . Have very Merry Christmas! Good Luck!

They are probably skin tags. You can have a family doctor or a dermatologist take them off - relatively simple, minimal discomfort. Have them all taken off at once.

Small bumps under my under arms?

I noticed about a week ago, that right at the crease of the underarm where it bends, I have small bumps. They look dry, or scraped because they have this whitish look if you get what I mean. I thought they were just a couple of ingrown hairs maybe, but I picked at one (and I shouldnt have) and nothing came out, just pulled off some of the skin, but some is still there and it burns now. I have them on both under arms. I put vasaline on them and them medicated body powder that relieves pain and moisture. Anyone every had this before? Could it just be a skin irritation from shaving or something?
Small bumps under my under arms?
your deodorant, probably harmed your underarms?
Small bumps under my under arms?
get you some emu oil.
Reply:I read somewhere before that there is a certain kind of skin irritation that is permanent but it comes and goes... it's symptoms are like a white colored patch under the arm and usually there is a sensitivity to that area... the article recommended putting baby oil on the area to keep the skin from rubbing together to further irritate it... I'd check with your doctor if it doesn't go away or if it comes back or gets worse over time...

Is Michael Jackson the only person ever to permanently change his skin color?

In case you have been living under a rock Michael Jackson is 100% black but changed his skin color to white and likes little boys
Is Michael Jackson the only person ever to permanently change his skin color?
'Thriller' said it all. it's nice to have her around on Yahoo! answers.

Hi Thriller!!!!!
Is Michael Jackson the only person ever to permanently change his skin color?
Thank You dirtyphoenix! Report It

Reply:I think so.
Reply:Yes because he is super strange. He looks like that poor kid from that movie "powder".
Reply:A lot of black people bleach their skin whiter (Beyonce), and a lot of white people suntan until they're permanently brown (Suzanne Sommers).
Reply:well first up michael jackson didnt change his skin coulor on purpose it is a disese that turns ur skin white and if he is the first i dont no but i do no bout this disese coz my grandma has it
Reply:No, Bill Clinton did it too!
Reply:Michael Jackson has the skin disease Vitiligo which attacks and destroys the pigment in the skin, he did not choose to have it! The molestation charges were false and made by gold diggers with a get rich quick scheme!! Don't believe everything the media tells you!!

鈾モ櫏We Love You Michael!!!!鈾モ櫏
Reply:I think other people has done it just that they aren't famous like him so it's kind of a secret.
Reply:He is the most famous to have done it. And for the record he NEVER had vitiligo, it was chemically induced. I know Jermaine. Most people's embarrassing family members aren't so public. there is a book "black like me" about a white guy who became black so he could write a book. it is pretty interesting. but eventually he turned white again.

I asked a question- it appears in my profile but not under the heading! Why?

I asked a question in the Health -%26gt; Diseases -%26gt; Skin Conditions category. It appears in my profile but not under that category, so nobody else can see the question. What's up?
I asked a question- it appears in my profile but not under the heading! Why?
It may show up there eventually -- it may be hanging out in the "prescan" section of Yahoo Answers, where they hold questions before putting out to the public. This is done to try and slow down spammers, bots, and trolls and uses "trigger words" to pull certain questions for manual review. I've seen questions come up as much as an hour later! So be patient. On the other hand, I've also seen questions not post at all -- swallowed by the deadly Yahoo "glitch"! Ya just never know.

My skin is... ugh!? help!?

I have these little white heads on my nose, forehead, chin and under my eyes and I can't get rid of them! They look ugly! I also have quite pale skin but I get these little red bits and I have a mixture between oily and dry skin! It's disgusting!

So is there anyway I can even out my skin and have it looking just normal! How do I get rid of inpurities... thanks :)
My skin is... ugh!? help!?
Birthcontrol.

seriously.

Works awesomly %26lt;3
My skin is... ugh!? help!?
I would sujest a face cream like clearisel you could go to your local chemist nd ask them to sujest which one to use!....but don't forget to use it every day.

i also read in a magazine once that natural yoghurt and honey is supposed to be very good for your skin.
Reply:Please don't resort to Clearasil, it's way too harsh. I use Liz Earle cleanse %26amp; polish and it works for every skin type. I suggest going for a facial too, they will extract your whiteheads and then can reccomend a skincare regime to suit you. But Liz Earle is fabulous, it dries the oily areas and hydrates the dry areas. Perfect for balancing problem skin. Hope this helps.
Reply:Use the ,Exfoliate,Clay mask,Toner ,Moisturizer from the simple range.

fab stuff
Reply:I would recommend for you zenmed's 3 step skin care system. I have been using it for a few months now and have found it to be very effective for removing whiteheads. Whats more this cream also removes dead skins, cleanses deep inside your pores and makes your skin healthier and glowing. Zenmed's products are the best where treating any type of skin condition is concerned.

You could also use my discount code "zen4less" to avail a discount in case you desire to buy this product.
Reply:I think you must have a daily skin treatment routine twice that is morning and evening before off to bed.You must have a good face wash for normal skin or cleanser and tonic and i will also suggest some daily massage. Also you must drink plenty of water and do some breathing exercises
Reply:drink plenty of water, remove (or eat less) fat and chocolate from your diet as that's the use of the white pimples. Eat fresh fruit and veg'

Then go see your Doctor who may prescribe you the pill (birth Control) which will balance an in-balanced hormone problem which is the main cause of pimples/acne..

Thirdly to a Beauty Salon and have a course of facials and get advice about skin cleansing etc..

Hope you get sorted..
Reply:Omg. My best mate has this problem. She went to the doc's for creams and had everyone on the market, practically. She said they worked for a few weeks but after that, they stopped working because her skin got used to them.

She found out from some source of another that putting straight vodka on a piece of cotton cool and rubbing it over her spits really cleared them up

, new she is just left with a few scars here and there were her acne used to be. Be beware, you need a moisturiser after, coz it drys up ya skin a little. =]

(ps, any voka works, you dont need a really expensive bottle)
Reply:well...even if i could help u , i wouldn't u know.

bc the skin , especially the skin of ur face is the most important part in ur body ...and ur face is the only part which can be seen at the first look....so never try to treat ur face problem urself , or just by asking ordinary ppl, even if they r educated enough in any field . but not a doctor, doctors r the only persons who can give u the best answer....and the only ones u can trust to their treatment.

it shouldn't be a problem, my dog has the same thing. but get it checked out by a vet if your worried.
My dog is growing small dark spots in her skin, what's that??
I would call your local vet (this way it won't cost) and ask. Most likely they will tell you to bring her in if they think its bad, but otherwise MOST vets will let you know something you can get over the counter at a grocery store to help. The only things I could find online were about skin cancer, so I wouldn't wait much longer to call. Good luck!

35 weeks 4 days pregnant... part top part of stomach has no feeling in skin....?

the top left side of my stomach has no feeling in the skin.... yet i have a shooting pain coming from that area. i also have a hard time breathing, like i have bruised ribs bc my baby is so large shes under my ribs at times... should this be of concern? the skin that has no feeling but hurts at the same time?

No, mine was like that for a couple of weeks. All feeling will return to normal after the baby is born.

Congrats.
35 weeks 4 days pregnant... part top part of stomach has no feeling in skin....?
I have never heard of this. I would rest, take some Tylenol and if the pain continues maybe go ahead a call a doctor.

I hope you are ok.
Reply:Very common.

Most likely your baby is putting pressure on a nerve. The fact that it is numb at times and is painful at times, dictates that it is probably a pinched nerve.
Reply:You skin is just stretched so tight. The last few weeks are very uncomfortable because the baby is pushing and kicking against you with no room for her to move around. You should be seeing your doc every week now, right? Ask him/her for ideas to be more comfortable. Hang in there, you are almost done.
Reply:My son was under my ribs also. I had to have a c-section because he was too large for my body. Not a big deal tho. Talk to your doctor .... thats why we pay them the big bucks!
Reply:She's pressing on the nerves in that area, so it hurts and is stretched but appears to have "no feeling".

If she's up under your ribs, she's also pressing on your diaphragm that separates your lungs from your stomach etc. It means that you can't breathe deeply (when we breathe correctly, we breathe downwards which pushes the tummy out) something you can't do at the moment anyway because she's there! If the diaphragm is pressed, it can be painful and make you feel short of breath too. Try putting your hands high on your waist to lift your ribcage and open it up. Looks a bit odd, but might give you a little more space when she's pushing around.
Reply:The same thing happened to me with my second child. Only it was the entire top of my belly just above my navel. Very painful most of the time, but just as you said, numb at the same time. It seems like a contradiction but that's exactly what it felt like. I told my doctor who said it was simply from being stretched so taut that the nerves were constantly firing. The feeling of numbness lasted several months after giving birth. And, an area of about two inches across just above the navel continues to feel kind of numb, or just less sensitive than the rest of my skin. (My second child is now nearly 18 months old.) I guess that's just another part of my badge of honor from pregnancy to go along with the stretch marks. Blessings to you!

The hard time breathing is because there is so little room inside you that your organs are being pressed up into your ribcage and that doesn't leave much room for expanding your lungs. My son had his head under my ribs for the last two months solid! Very uncomfortable, you feel like you can never take a deep breath. It all goes away with delivery!!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Best skin care routine?

I want to start actually taking care of my skin, but I don't know where to start. I'm 16 and have no idea what my skin type is. I break out occasionally on my forehead, usually along the top of my brows. And lately I've been getting whiteheads on my cheeks. And to cap it all, I have the worst under eye bags and dark circles you've ever seen. (I don't know why I do, I get enough sleep and eat well). Please, please help me figure out and easy, affordable routinte to take care of my skin! What skin type do I have? What products should I use? How much are they? How often should I use them? Please help!
Best skin care routine?
You are on the right track when you talk about eating well and sleeping enough! Great skin starts from the inside!

I highly recommend the products of Arbonne. The Intelligence line is a great place to start. It is a 5 step system, with the main idea of washing, toning and moisturizing emphasized.

In addition, I also recommend a dietary supplement - just to make sure you are getting all the vitamins and minerals that you need.

We also have a supplement that comes in a "chew" formulated especially for teens.

You can learn more about the products at my web site: www.snthayer.myarbonne.com.

I will send you a sample of the Intelligence line for you to try if you sign my guest book and let me know where to mail it!

Thanks, and happy holidays!
Best skin care routine?
if you have dry patches, you may have dry skin

if your skin get irritated easily, you may have sensitive skin like me

if you have very oily skin, you may have oily skin

if you have eveything, most likey have combination skin

a good skin care regimen is a cleanseer that suites your skin type, a toner (natural or contain less alcohol is good), and a moisterizer that suites you skin
Reply:If your skin feels rough all over: DRY SKIN!

If your skin feels soft and smooth: NORMAL SKIN!

If your skin feels greasy all over: OILY SKIN!

If your skin is dry/normal on your cheeks but oily on your T-Zone (forehead, nose, chin): COMBINATION SKIN!

Most acne products I've tried are ineffective even though I have mild acne! Products I'll recommend are:

CLEANSER: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a... (this product contains no acne fighting ingrediants)

TONER/ASTRINGENT: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

(TIP: witch hazel is very good for acne!)

TREATMENT: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

(This is another product that will help with acne)

MOISTURIZER: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

(Since the Clearasil Cream contains Benzoyl Peroxide, a moisturizer with an SPF needs to be used! This product contains SPF 15! And is very light!)

Since I used drugstore.com, it lists the prices of products so you can get an idea of how much they cost!

Good Luck!

Skin Issues?

I would describe my skin tone as fair, but sometimes I have red, blotchy-ness all over my face. On top of that, I have very dark under eye circles that I use makeup to cover up, but since I wear dark eye makeup, by the time I'm in school, the makeup on my under eyes has faded, and I'm back to the dark marks. Along with a lot of pimples around my chin. Does anyone have any makeup tips to make my skin look more evened out, and to help with the pimples around my chin? I wear foundation, but that wears off during the day also. Please help.
Skin Issues?
lol what ever you do DONT wash your face more the 2 TIMES a dya. that will just make it worse. it draws the oil out of your pores nad sits in on your skin and eerythign else. just dont do that. dermatoligist tell you not to. but everyone is different. i accaully use just regualr dove bar soap. it has gentle moutsrizer and it works really well . alot better that some of those face wash and scrubs stuff. i like it. ive been using it forever now and my skins pretty clear. it also leave it nice and smooth. as for dark circle you can get cream for it. try jean-mitchelle. um but you can also your concelar. in a tone lighter than your skin color. then wear powedede foundation. also don t overload on the mae up tpo try and cover stuff off. makes ups suppsed to empahsis your natural beauty not change our face. you will loo so fresh without caked on powder. i recommmnd to use dove bar soap for 2 weeks.plz give it a try it worked for me and my freinds after i told them. but its not a gareentee but at least try it. also go fo a light poweder to polish you face. stay away from sticky wet foundation and stuff like that. hope this helps :]
Skin Issues?
make-up is not the key wash your face 2 times a day with gentle solution and netrogena the dark circle can be easier to fade with acne medicne if you apply it 3 times a day. Proactive doesn't work!!
Reply:WELL i THiNK i CAN HELP Y0U WiTH THiS SiNCE i GET PiMPLES T00. iF Y0UR TRYiNG T0 GET RiD 0F THEM JUST LiKE WASH Y0UR FACE AL0T [i KN0W THAT S0UNDS CLiCHE BUT iT W0RKS!] PR0ACTIVE W0RKS G00D. Reply:Try using concealers under foundations... It covers the dark circles and the pimple(scars) as well. Choose non-comedogenic foundations so that your pores won't be clogged which leads to nasty break-outs. Washing your face also helps, just don't use bathing soaps... Those things are too harsh for your face. Use facial foams or scrubs instead.

Recent Skin Problems?

Until recently, I had really great skin. I never broke out, got pimples rarely, my skin was clear and for the most part had great tone and texture. I never had problems with over drying.

Recently, part of my face have been super dry. Mainly, around my mouth and under/around my eyes and eyelids. Anytime I use a moutrizier on those areas, I break out in hives. The hives/pimples/bumps stay for days. Same happens when I wear makeup.

It's interfering with my life, b/c my skin is becoming very embrassing.

I'm 23 years old, so why the sudden change in my skin. How can I fix it?
Recent Skin Problems?
Seek professional help and go to your local dermatologist.

For some people with sensitive skin, they might react at any time, even to products they've used for years.
Recent Skin Problems?
Have you had any changes in your life recently?

Please go see a dermatologist! He or she will know best!
Reply:have a visit with the doctor....you could just be allergic to something, and you just dont know it.
Reply:Well they say every 7 years your body changed.. And you probably have developed an allergy to make-up and mosturizers. I would see a doctor or dematologist about the skin issue. Maybe they could suggest a mosturizer that doesn't cause hives.
Reply:see a dematologist like other users have suggested. it could be stress , change of environment or both. you might get different creams or pills. good luck!

Sensitive skin?

My skin is so impossibly sensitive!

There are some perfect quality fabrics that will bring my skin out in rash.

I get all itchy in summer and itchiness lasts until the next spring. Sometimes my skin burns like crazy after being exposed to the sun (wearing lotion, not being in the sun long).

Some products like body lotions, creams or shaving foams would create burning sensation when applied.

I don't have acne, but often get spots on my jaw area and under the chin.

Sometimes I itch all over for no apparent reason.

I try using as little products as possible on my skin and I make sure I use good quality products. It took me a while to find shaving gel that doesn't burn my legs, though.

I take oath baths occasionally. I moisturise.

I eat lots of fresh fruits and veg and seeds, mostly organic, and I believe I get enough iron, omegas etc.

My GP gave me 2 different medicines for allergies and they only made the situation worse. The pill didn't help either.

Any help greatly appreciated!
Sensitive skin?
You may have sun intolerance. It is not common but it happens. Ask your GP about it.

Avoid sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate for a start. Shaving foams and many other foaming products contain these detergents, which are irritating.

Try rosehip oil. It may feel like burning as soon as you apply it because your skin is so sensitive but it will subside. You can also try sea kelp bioferment.
Sensitive skin?
A lot of products make a sensitive skin version of their product. Try looking for a milder version that won't irritate your skin. Also your laundry detergent may cause irritation. I know there are certain brands that I cannot use because it makes me itch. Look for products that are dye free or made for sensitive skin.

What skin tone am I? (pics inside)?

My mom is white and my dad was half mexican. (He left so I don't have anything else to go on but what my mom says) So, my mom is white and has blonde hair and he was mexican (dunno skin color) with jet black hair.

I have really dark brown hair that looks black and brown eyes. I dunno if this will help you identify my skin tone or not. My mom says I am olive, but from what I hear that's beautiful skin and I don't like mine. What do you think I am?

These two are natural. I have no makeup on. (except for that stuff you see under the eye and sorry about the poses) Sorry, I was at a slumber part so they're the only pics I have without makeup on! My friend took them for some scrap book.

I know I look bad, please don't point it out.

Oily skin is driving me insane!!! Please help me?

I have very oily skin, i even use makeup that is specifically for oily skin..but still 3 hours later my face is oily again..my dermatologist told me to use Almay products and i have used those for about 2-3 weeks now..but to no help..i've used everything under the sun it seems like Covergirl, Mary Kay, Revlon, Neutragena(sp?) Maybellene..but nothing works..and i can't go out and spend a bunch of money on foundation..also, i have slight blemishes even though i am young and the foundation for oily skin doesn't completely cover them which is pretty embarrassing sometimes..does anyone know of anything that will not make my skin such an oil pit? I'm willing to try anything! Thank you soo much.

start washing yourself more. when in soap yourself in the shower, make sure you rub your body well enough to get all your deadskin and oil off your skin. also if you want your face and body to look less oily. use powder to cover it up. bring powder around so you can use it when you see that your face is oily.
Oily skin is driving me insane!!! Please help me?
i have found that pro-active works wonders. I also like MAC's face primer, it sets your make-up all day. Best foundation by far is Clinque Clarifying!! Good luck!
Reply:I love the prescriptives flawless skin foundation %26amp; powder they are oil free %26amp; I apply them with foundation brush. Also there is a makeup setter called model in a bottle that you can find online @ website with same name, it sets your makeup %26amp; seems to keep my oily skin @ bay for most of day. I also sometimes will use a rice powder paper in natural that you can find at sally's beauty supply.
Reply:get blotting tissues. when your face gets oily you just dab them on your face and it soaks up the oil. they are cheap too... also try using an exfoliating cream.... and wear less makeup becasue that sounds like it could be you problem. and use powder cover up instead of liquid
Reply:drenk lot of water atleast 3liters a day and put drop of lemon...
Reply:drink LOTS of water %26amp; use mary kay oil mattifier %26amp; acne treatment gel. that's the only over the counter product that worked for my skin.

I hope this helps if it does not email me and I'll give u another way to get ride of oily skin.
Reply:i suggest you wash your face AT LEAST twice a day...once before school/work then right before bed........use DIAL soap FIRST then use CLINQUE face wash.....after ur face is dry, use a cotton swab and put on CLINQUE astringent (can't spell) it may burn.......that's ok.....and if that doesn't work.....try using a powder instead of cream to cover ur face when wearing makeup..... apply powder throughout day to cover up oil.......Oh, and try to use a face mask that reduces oil too....
Reply:Try Neautrogena Black Head Eliminating Scrub. Its for blackheads but my God does it try out your skin! I had very old skin and I used it and within 2 days I saw such a difference! Look for products with "salicylic acid" because that is what will dry your skin. Don't overuse them though because trust me, you don't want dry skin either!
Reply:i've been through it. stop using so much makeup. just wash your face 3-5 times a day, and you can also buy blotting sheets(you can use this at school, its quick, just dab and the oil is gone) drink lots of water...you've probably heard this before, but it works.....if you still need something...brush a little baby powder on the oil parts of your face...it absorbs excess oil

Reply:I have really oily skin too, so I know how you feel. First of all, DO NOT wash your face more than twice a day! This can actually stimulate the oil glands to produce more oil! Secondly, use a face wash specifically for oily skin (Collective Wellbeing makes a fantastic one!), use toner then a mattifying moisturizer (Oil of Olay Complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15 for combination/oily skin works pretty well). I use Bare Escentuals mineral foundation, which I love. It has great coverage and, as it's a powder, does help to control the oil. Before I use this though, I use Dr. Feelgood by Benefit. It's a face balm that helps to sop up the oil. I also use it throughout the day over my makeup (it's sheer) to help with the greasies, or I use Clean %26amp; Clear's blotting sheets. Remember to wash your face well at night and to use a good clay based mask once or twice a week to help keep your pores clean and your face less oily. I would recommend a good moisturizer at night (you can go for a heavier product here) because, even if your skin is oily, it still needs moisture and nutrients. Hope this helps and good luck!
Reply:I have extremely oily skin too and I just switched to Arbonne Products. They have a line that is for acne but it treats oily skin. A peppermint cleanser, toner and lotion. It smells great and works really well too. Also, it does not dry your skin. They also have a vitamin supplement to help with that problem.

What type of skin disorder do I have?

I have dark colored skin with light colored spots on my sides of my back and under my arms. They do not itch and they are not scaly. I have no symptoms at all except for the physical appearance. What could they be? Where can I get more info?
What type of skin disorder do I have?
Kinda sounds like Vitiligo to me.

Vitiligo (vit-ill-EYE-go) is a disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. This happens because the cells that make pigment (color) in the skin are destroyed. These cells are called melanocytes (ma-LAN-o-sites). Vitiligo can also affect the mucous membranes (such as the tissue inside the mouth and nose) and the eye.
What type of skin disorder do I have?
Go to the doctor.
Reply:It could be Tinea Versicolor. If you google it, you could read all about it and see if you think this is what you have.
Reply:Kelly may be correct. It is probably a harmless fungus.

A simple cure is Selsun Blue shampoo. Apply it to the spotted areas, leave it on for a few hours, wipe off. Repeat daily until spots are gone.

If the skin becomes irritated, stop applying the shampoo and/or apply less often or for shorter amounts of time.

You are not contagious.

Red/pink skin?

I'm thirteen years old (relevant?)

Uhm, I have freckles that sweep across my cheeks and nose and under the freckles it's kind of red. The redness looks like LIGHT blush! It's really light under my nose and darker under my cheeks. But, it's all still light. The redness in my cheeks doesn't bother me much, but on my nose it does.

Then, in between my eye brows is a red mark. My friends think I pluck there since it's red, but I don't touch it.

I'm caucasion, but I have a /slight/ olive tint to my skin because my dad was half mexican. But, I'm definately not dark but I'm not /too/ pale.

I don't know if that's relevant, but I don't want to leave anything out. I know how some skin tones have some effects.

What is this?

How can I get rid of it?
Red/pink skin?
you might have a slight case of rosacea. if it bothers you that much you can use green concealer it cancels out the red. and try using calming face wash and moisturizer w/ collodial oatmeal (aveno make some). and one more thing if you like to pamper yourself make a mask of dry plain oatmeal and plain yogurt, apply it to the face for 10 min. its a natural soother!

Problem skin help?

I have really weird skin. It's extremely sensitive and is prone to breakouts. My skintone is uneven and blotchy, especially around my mouth and chin. I sweat a lot on my face and it leaves my upper lip a weird color. Sometimes my skin is dry, sometimes it's oily. I never wear makeup, I moisturize and use a sunscreen daily. I have tried every different cleanser under the sun, toners, masks, creams, you name it. I've been to dermatologists and I've used prescription products and I still get breakouts. My skin is just dull looking. I've considered having a chemical peel, but I don't want to cause more harm than good. I want something that will even out my skintone so it doesn't look blotchy and I want clear, glowing skin. I don't know what else to try that I haven't already. I even take vitamins. I don't touch my face and I try my best to keep it clean and take good care of it. I am 26 years old. Why am I still having skin problems and what can I do?
Problem skin help?
Funny, not one mention of diet here. Most skin problems start with dehydration and more junk than real food. Lean meats and vegies and plenty of water is what I'd recommend. That was all it took for me.

All that stuff you're using is masking or covering the symptoms, not solving the situation. Give this a try, you may be surprised.

Good luck

Try using Proactive, or Neautrogina Products
Reply:dont use a face mask or anything bc mosest of the time you brake out more.what you should use proactive.that will help with breaking out.
Reply:Its doesn't matter what age you are you can have skin problems. I am 29 I have sensitive skin and combination skin I have tried all products out there unitl someone introduced me to Arbonne and I can I love their products. Everyone will have different opinions unless you try them and compare to what you are currently using.

The products are :

*botanically based

*ph correct

*hypoallergenic

*dermatologist tested

*never tested on animals

*formulated without animcal products or by-products

*formualted without mineral: occlusive oil can interfere with skin functions as well as advanced delivery systems

*formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances

These products are wonderful because they don't strip the skin especially from harsh alcohols and chemicals.

My recommendation from this line is using the Intelligence Line or their Anti-aging line that is great for Normal to Oily skin for acne there is Clear Advantage 4 system that works great too.

Did you know "Peppermint" helps to open pores and allows them to be cleansed from the inside. This means pores appear to be smaller giving you a more youthful appearance.

Reply:Have you tried a medical skin care line? I have another question for you tho--how many times have you stuck to ONE skin care line and done it for more than 6 weeks? You sound to me like you try one thing one time and if a miracle doesn't happen it must be a loser. The products are made to work together and NOTHING works instantly. Taking care of your skin the correct most healthy way now, pays off big time when you get older. My husband is 8 yrs younger than me, we are married 21 years and men ask him if he robbed the cradle--I LOVE IT! The best lines are medical and the superiority of the product is noticeable the first time you use it. Dermatologists and some plastic surgeons can tell you what is best for you. Getting a peel or microdermabrasion before you start using the line is a great jump start. They can also help you with the discoloration etc. You will be so happy you did it. AND, hopefully they will want you to use one of the lines you can buy online at dermstore.com or skinstore.com. GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Try using Neutrogena it got rid of all of my pimples.

Extra skin on face?

I have an acne prone skin and there's this extra chunk of skin on my face on both sides of my jaw. It's like a piece of skin growing over another one and I've had it for quite a while. There are also some areas under my jaw where there are this extra chunk, but they are much smaller. They act like normal skin and don't seem to have pus in it. I'm wondering anyone could help me on this.

Would drinking water clear up skin/brighten eyes?

Ok, I feel stupid even asking this...but anyway.... so I don't drink water....at all...MAYBE one glass a week if I'm feelin' up to it. My skin is getting so dried out and I have huge dark circles under my eyes. If I committed to drinking 8 glasses of water a day, would my skin appearance get better? If it will make the whole world of difference, then I will start drinking water, but if not, I'll stick to my soda.
Would drinking water clear up skin/brighten eyes?
This is not a stupid question, it is smart to be concerned about your appearance and your health. Soda is bad for your whole system. It has a lot of chemicals and additives in it which will dry out and age your skin. It actually interferes with your circulatory system, which is contributing to the dry skin and dark circles. Some people just are more apt to have dark circles than others, due to lightness and thiness of the skin, a coverup or foundation can help. Get a bit more sleep, that is important. If you cannot get away totally from the soda, have one small, 8 ounce can as a treat every few days, until you can give them up completely. I had to up my water intake within the past couple of years, just for health reasons. I am lucky, as I have never been a big soda drinker. I can occationally have one glass and then walk away. I keep a big glass of water with ice near me at all times. I will have soda water with lemon or lime slices. I will also have regular water with bit of juice to taste, cranberry juice, blueberry juice, or pomegranate. I also use crystal light, there are so many flavors, it keeps it interesting. Try adding one glass at a time, until you are up to five or six per day. You will see improvement in your skin within a couple of weeks. Your body will actually begin to crave water, and you will lose your taste for soda after a few weeks. My first thought now, when I am thirsty is I need some water. I do drink milk a lot, and my bone density is great. I am only an occasional coffee drinker, I drink iced and hot tea. I also have given up adding sugar to the coffee and tea, and that has improved my health and I've lost about eight pounds, without changing anything else. Try it, one day at a time, you do not have to force yourself to change completely overnight. Have a great day!
Would drinking water clear up skin/brighten eyes?
yes
Reply:yes it will ...it cleans it all
Reply:it will make a world of difference. water helps your body clear out the gunk the food leaves behind. you'll look and feel better within days of starting a healthier drinking regime.
Reply:I stopped drinking pop about 2 months ago all I drink is water and everyone tells me how wonder and tight my skin on my face looks. So yes drink water!!! I am 35.
Reply:Yes it will change your life. It will make you feel so much better and look better also.
Reply:No doubt!! you will be amazed at how different you look AND feel after drinking water. Your skin will clear up and look great and you will feel rejuvenated. Water is incredible. i am not exaggerating. your life might change.....
Reply:yes it does...it flushes your system of impurities
Reply:The september issue of Oprah magazine has that same question in it. Yes, Drinking water helps. You can find the answer on Page 214 of the magazine. It's a good article. It also helps flush impurities out of your system that leads to better immune function. Good luck!
Reply:Yes it will help a lot..take a multivitamin too daily.
Reply:Human body is said to have 60-70% water but not in ur case....Drinking water will increase ur current conditions...from all the details u have given its obvious.....what are u doing sitting and reading this go get urself a glass of water ...
Reply:Water is another way of hydrating your system. Soda is the worst thing you can drink and suspect to have good skin and eyes. Try drinking at least 3-5 cups a day and make the other two cups juice, until you gradually get to 5-8 cups a day. You might need more sleep for the dark circles. Water really does help!
Reply:Yes drink the water for sure. Pop is sooo not good. Once in a while of course, who can eat popcorn without it?? And get some sleep. That will help with eye circle thing. If you do start drinking the water get ready to go to the bathroom but, don't worry that wont last long. Your body will adjust. (Getting rid of the bad stuff)
Reply:yes dear it does makes a lotttt of diffrence.i am shoked knowing that u drink ONLY a glass per week...my goodness.thats too much . to have a good nourishing skin and body u need to have 7-8 glasses of water per day without fail.ok.now go and first have 2 glasses of water and keep the third glass beside you for drinking after 1 hour.okayy

How can we end raceism america when blacks constantly focus on skin color to highlight accomplishments?

I want to ignore skin color in my day to day life and look at individuals and guage them purely on merit.but blacks always drag the issue of color into every subject.an academy award is an acomplishment for blacks, the first black head coach to win a superbowl, new orleans is gonna be a chocolate city and he(Nagin) still gets elected.could you imagine a white politician making a simialer comment.why cant it just be an academy award, why cant the superbowl just be about football and new orleans just be a great city for everyone.Making everything about the color of their skin cant help but cause resentment and be divisive.I was under the impression that blacks didn't want to be distinguished by the color of their skin.
How can we end raceism america when blacks constantly focus on skin color to highlight accomplishments?
You cant spell, its racism lol lol lol, thanks for the laugh lol lol lmao lol lol, u dumb person lol lol lmao lol.
How can we end raceism america when blacks constantly focus on skin color to highlight accomplishments?
Apparently Race still matters since this irritates you so.
Reply:That's the way blacks are.... I never see mexicans or asians or whites doin' that ****....
Reply:Oh, please. What about all the white supremacists in the world talking about keeping their race "pure". When you get rid of them, then you can complain.
Reply:I'm proud of all Asian accomplishments, get over it.
Reply:It's funny how people like you always cry about Blacks having their freedom of speech or rights as everyone else. So what is supposed to happen when a group of White men come together as the KKK which still exist? Of course I am upset with some Black people who don't carry themselves the way they should, but let that be for another Black person to judge. Because a lot of people like you don't come at these issues you have with Black people as a way of conversation and understanding, you're doing it to be rude.

Beautiful facial skin?

What's the best way to get soft, silky, and smooth looking skin? Whenever I look at my skin close up or in good light, it looks really bad to me. I have little bumps under my eyes which could be normal, but I honestly don't know.I'm sure I'll get told that more than likely it's make up, BUT I was wondering if anyone knew how to get skin like celebrities all seem to have. I know a majority is makeup, but some skin looks perfect even without it. I had a facial and although it made my skin feel much softer, it didn't really seem to change the look of it. Any suggestions on what I could buy for cleansers? I have a Biore pore cleansing scrub, but I can't tell if that's working or not. But what are some of the best tips you all have gotten about any facial care?
Beautiful facial skin?
Those little bumps under your eyes are probably white-heads; they like to form on the soft parts of your face and that's the skin around your eyes.

Those don't break, so don't attempt to try, you'll ruin your skin trying to get them out and the sad part is, they never go away unless you have them removed by a dermatologist.

But as for a way to make your skin look better, I'd say moisturizer-- if you don't hydrate your skin, what'll it do?

That's right! Dry out.

You have to keep your skin hydrated and hydrating it from the inside by drinking plenty of water every day and hydrating it from the outside is by using a good quality facial moisturizer.

Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, I'd say go for Olay Body lotion called 'Quench'; it's body lotion, but it's light enough for the face.

I have semi-sensitive skin, and I use it every morning and every evening and I've never, in my life, had such beautiful skin as I do now.

Seriously, try it out. It comes in a big purple bottle.

Good luck! 鈾?br>Beautiful facial skin?
The little bumps under your eye are probly millia, you get those when make up cloggs your pores and they harden, they need to be removed with a lancet. Next time you get a facial ask for a recommendation on skin care, most everything you buy in wal- mart or whereever, has a very high ph level wich strips your skin dry, but if you need to spend less you can use aveeno, the ph is low.
Reply:try glycolic acid
Reply:You may want to check into L'Bri Pure n' Natural Skin Care. Good skin results comes with good ingredients. Check the ingredient label of the facial products that you're using...do they contain water (dilutes all ingredients), oil (clogs pores), SD alcohol 40 (dries out your skin) and all kinds of other chemicals that you can't pronouce? All these ingredients age your skin. You need to use products that contain natural ingredients and not harsh chemicals. Aloe is the first ingredient in L'Bri's skin care line and the rest is vitamins, minerals, herbs and botanicals. The aloe will penetrate into your skin and take all the good ingredients down to the second and third layers of skin where all the damage begins and heal your skin from the inside out. The results will be clearer, heathier, hydrated skin, it's amazing stuff. Shipping is free and it's 100% guaranteed. Check it out at suenelson.lbri.com.

Best foundation for pale freckley skin?

Anybody know of a good flawless looking foundation and concealer for a pale redhead? I have quite dry skin so it musnt irritate, also it has to look flawless under harsh lighting. Also if you could recommend the shade too? Thanks
Best foundation for pale freckley skin?
try the maybelline matt mousse foundation........i keep pinching my daughters, and they have loads of different shades!!!!
Best foundation for pale freckley skin?
Manic Panic makes a totally white liquid foundation that I add to the foundation of my choice to get the right color...I have really fair skin and it's impossible to find one the right shade, so I make my own Report It

Reply:L'oreal Feel Naturale (multi vitamin complex with SPF15) in soft ivory. It is a liquid foundation. You can get it at Wal-mart.
Reply:Please don't cover up your freckles... I think they are lovely.
Reply:Pure Essentials (not sure if I spelled that right) has a mineral makeup powder. It makes blemishes go away and helps with pimples. I would get the lightest shade possible. It works and it is affordable too.
Reply:I love I.D. Bare Escentuals Mineral Makeup. It's pricey but covers well, is easy to use and comes in many shades. You could probably go with the fair foundation. They have Starter kits that have samples and tapes to instruct how to apply, the best shades for you, etc. They also come with brushes.
Reply:i would recommend mineral wear it really does wonders it covers anything up
Reply:have you tried benefit dr feel good? its like a translucent pwder but glides on and evens out your skin, leaving it feeling really smooth and flawless.

I'd advise against anything coloured as I have pale skin too and tend to find it difficult to get a foundation which isnt so dark I look stupid or pale I look like a ghost. With freckles as well, in the spring/summer they can look really beautiful if you dont plough on the foundation to attempt to cover them up.this is why I have suggested a translucent foundation whihc will even out as oppose to cover up your skin.
Reply:Hi I use Tesco Barbara Dailys MAKE-UP range. I have to get the oil free one as I have oily skin but it covers well and I wont go back to using any others, it also last all day. and it goes on light and blends well. At the time when I got it I had really bad spoys and a few coats of this stuff and if looked like I had none at all. Its worth a try. They also do illuminating fluied called soft focus which also minimise the look of imperfections. I use Porceline as my skin is really pale. You might not thinkit the colour for you in the hsop as the lighting makes it look funny but its really pale when you put it one.
Reply:I've got red hair and freckles too i use Rimmel cool matte foundation in classic beige it gives a little bit of colour but doesn't look cakey! for concealer i use Barbara Daley at Tesco in 01 Fair it's just dark enough to cover spots or dark circles that we fair skinned folk suffer with. I get loads of compliments so the make up must be good!
Reply:My friend has pale skin with freckles and she use the lorel foundation and she looks amazing in it.It really suits her i think you should deffinatly try it good luck..xx..

Is there an at home remedy to help improve your skin and get rid of dark spots?
well, i'd say to drink plenty of water and eat tomatoes. tomatoes help skin look their best! if that doesn't work, try getting a little sun to even out your skin.

Is it normal to have lines under and beside my eyes when I am 23 yrs old? How can I make them go away?

I started noticing them 2 yrs ago, and they are getting worse :(. The ones under my eyes are right at the border of my eye skin/upper cheek, and the ones beside my eyes are a straight line on the outer corners going towards my hairline. I'd really like to make them go away (or reverse them if I can). I am not afraid of aging, but isn't 23 too young to be dealing with such things? Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks :)
Is it normal to have lines under and beside my eyes when I am 23 yrs old? How can I make them go away?
Try getting more sleep. It could be just from being tired. Maybe try eating more healthily as well. If none of that works try using a teabag on the area.

Skin problem NOT ACNE???

Ive had this skin problem for the past 2 months and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could fix it without me having to go to the doctor.

Right under my eyes down close to me cheek bones on both sides of my face my skin is really flaky like. I thought it was just dry skin from the cold but I have treated it with lotion and it is still there. Anyone know of any creams that might get rid of it because I can't get my foundation on smooth now and it's getting on my nerves.

thanks,

Lauren

Dry flaky skin on face?

I work out with weights and sweat a lot. I wipe it off with my gloves which I think may irritate my skin. A few days ago on my cheek the skin's become very flaky and red and I found another small path right under my eye. I don't really use lotions or moisturizers and I've been putting some on in the past few days hoping it'll help. But I was wondering how else what else I can use to help smooth out my skin.

Any help is appreciated!
Dry flaky skin on face?
First of all use a scrub. Then moisturiser.
Dry flaky skin on face?
I would recommend you use zenmed's three step skin care system which is a perfect formula with all natural ingredients for a smooth and gentle feeling on your skin. Believe me the treatment you get from this system would make you feel as you had been to a spa.
Reply:I know it sounds silly but if you put Honey on your face, leave it for 10-15 minutes then wash it off it should help!

Maybe try exfoliating after too!

Do it daily though!!

I did and it helped me!!

Try it :]
Reply:For dry skin, use a creamy cleanser to melt away dirt. Leave it on your skin before sweeping it away with cotton wool. Splash cold water onto your face to clean and refresh your skin. Use a thick cream moisturizer to seal in as much moisture as possible and have a refreshing feel.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...
Reply:you should include a regime of applying creams and lotions that contain Hyaluronic acid as this holds up to 1000 times its own weight in water leaving the skin feeling moist and smooth. Avoid applying water to the skin as this will only make your skin dryer. avoiding the sun is also something else that will help with dry skin. basically for creams you need to be looking at one that has a low water and high oil content. vitamin a will also help when applied and taken internally.

What cosmetic/cleaning products are best for OILY skin?? HELP!?

My skin doesn't ever look like it has any makeup on under my school's fluorescent lighting!! Of course, whatever does look like it's still on... soon melts off of my EXTREMELY oily face. I want to know the best kind of (skin care, moistureizer, primers, foundation, and powder) that would be able to help or at least last on my greasy face (lol). If you could list the price, and what you have experienced with the product that would be awesome too!!!
What cosmetic/cleaning products are best for OILY skin?? HELP!?
Well first of all, stop using foundations and primers to cover your zits. That's causing you to break out over and over! Using too many acne fighting products can make your produce over produce oil, which then clogs your pores. I use Clinique's 3-Step system in Dry/ Combination skin type. It cleared my acne and I stopped wearing any liquid foundations or primers so my skin can actually " breath ". It also moisturizes without fragrances or any oil clogging ingredients.
What cosmetic/cleaning products are best for OILY skin?? HELP!?
Use Clean n' Clear. My cousin gets great results.
Reply:I can empathize with you. I'm 31 and still have somewhat oily skin, although when I was in school it was alot worse. The best thing you can do is not overwash your face. Use a bar soap called Purpose. It's gentle, but still gets your face clean, and it's dermatologist recommended. Many times when people have an oily face they try to dry it out with all sorts of products and that makes it far worse. I recommend washing your face with Purpose 2-3 times/day. It's about $2-$3.

As far as moisturizers go it took me a long time to find one that wouldn't make my skin greasy. Estee Lauder's Clear Difference Advanced Oil-Control Hydrator for Oily Skin is good for that, but it's expensive...about $30. But, 1 pump covers your whole face so the bottle lasts for a while.

Also, I discovered oil blotting sheets when I was in high school. They saved me from looking shiny all day. At lunchtime I would just blot my face with 1-2 of these sheets and that would help me until the end of the school day. I've tried several brands %26amp; have found Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn's sheets to be the best. They are $5 for 60 sheets.

Good luck with your skin and if it's any consolation just know that your skin will slow down oil production once you get to your 30's. =)
Reply:mineral make-up. bare minerals, naked minerals.
Reply:You should try oil blotting sheets. From Victorias Secret.
Reply:Look up Bee-Luscious on a Google search. They have an entire oily skin system. Then use their primer then foundation. This will completely fix your problem. My daughter has the same problem and this is how we fixed it. These are all spa quality skincare and cosmetics. I won't use anything else ever again.
Reply:I've used aularale.com/7002 for years with superb results. The Moisture Balancing regimen is for oily skin and it sounds like you could use a masque 2-3 times a week along with vitamin C serum. Only use a small amount of moisturizer like what you'd get on the head of a q-tip. Drink more water than you currently do and cut out the fried, greasy foods.
Reply:White spirit is effective, I hope this helps.
Reply:"Stoogebegone" is pretty good for the oily, soitenly!
Reply:Sorry, I really don't have a great answer for you with regards to products because I myself is suffering from an oily face. I also tend to have acne as oily faces are acne prone too. I tried Proactiv and it worked at first but I don't use it anymore as I've said it's not working for me anymore. Although they have a matifying gel which worked sorta ok then. I switched to Neutrogena(the one for acne and wrinkle reducer with salicylic acid) and it's working ok for so far. I'm also using Olay facial wash for sensitive skin then I use Oil of Olay toner before the Neutrogena face cream. As for foundation, I used to use bare mirerals too but it made me break out even more! And it's not really going to give you good coverage. What I only like about is it feels light on your skin and that's it! Then I tried MAC fluid fix as I've read here in answers as someone was suggesting it to somebody with acne prone skin. I hated it! It feels heavy, it kinda cakes a little and still made me break out plus my skin feels more oilier. Yesterday I just bought an Almay foundation($11) for acne prone skin which has Salicylic Acid and so far it feels great! It's cheaper, it feels so light as if I'm not wearing any foundation at all! It dries up instantly! So far I've been observing my face and it hasn't been shiny yet. You know what, one good thing about having oily face though is that we get less wrinkles which is a good thing right? Just be diligent with your oil blotting sheets because putting too much stuff on your skin may not be that good either. The more you try to put strong stuff on your face, washing more often makes your skin produce more oil. Plus, one product may work for one person and it may not work for another. This is a trial and error thing. Goodluck!
Reply:have you ever tried Bior茅' pore perfect "pore unclogging scrub" they make it for different skin types %26amp; it is meant to exfoliate and refine your skin. The product itself is oil free so it won't add to your problem. and i believe it is under $12 at shoppers drug mart

Uhmm and don't forget that fluorescent lights don't flatter anyone

Oh and obviously if you've got oily skin dont wear oil based makeup products (i'm sure you already know this but hey it can't hurt to say, right? lol)

anyways i also love my astringent- it's olay's" refreshing toner" so when used with blotting pads tads any excess dirt and oil off your face - the toner is usually about $8

And as for foundation, sometimes it's better to go for a powder rather than a liquid or pencil because on oily skin it'll just melt, whereas if you blend a powder in well enough it should stay. i don't actually use foundation except for when i'm on stage, - it took me a long time to find a foundation/bronzer that didn't melt under all the lights but i love red earth's products. they're usually a little more expensive than the usual drug store brands but it is well worth it (i'm talking like 3 dollars more nothing earth-shattering)

hope this has been somewhat helpful. =]
Reply:Hey there. Have you tried a tea tree facial wash? Tea tree is antibacterial and great for correcting oil production and its natural
Reply:Green wintergreen rubbing alochol, pour a bit on a tissue and wipe your face..you will see the tissue become very dirty. Do it every morning and every night before bed. This is one of those tricks that no one ever knows..The best part..the bottle is usually about 89 cents... I find it at vons or walgreens.

My husband had bad acne and he went to the dermatoligist and tried everything but this works and he is perfectly clear.

Reply:matizone shiny skin by guinot is really good, it's a moisteriser that's really good for oily skin, i use it and i love it, also, it helps to keep makeup on during the day.

Aged Skin...?
Olay has an entire Anti-Aging Face Care line that I would recommend to you.

My mom has the same 'weathered' face as you explained, and she used it. It worked beautifully. :)

What types of skin condition could cause the described after swimming in the Florida Coast's (Atlantic) Ocean?

About three months ago my family visited Jacksonville Beach, FL. Since swimming in the ocean, my brother has been suffering from a skin condition that the doctors around here can't seem to diagnose. It started small under his arm with red bumps (rash looking). Since then, three months later, it has spread from under his arm to his whole body. It is now even in his eye. When the skin is scratched or touched, the skin around the bumps will flare up and turn very red and stay that way for quite some time. Recently, the bumps have grown. Some 1-inch in diameter, looking like welts, and pussing and bleeding. And now it keeps pussing more and more in different areas causing my bro. to have to have a towl wrapped around his abdomin throughout the day. Since, obtaining this unknown-illness, he has been having problems breathing, also. He complains of itching and pain. He is 17, and overweight. I've spent an hour on google trying to find something, anything, but to no avail.Anyhelp appreciated!

I t sounds like sea lice to me. Ask the doctors if it could be sea lice. You can put meat tenderizer on your skin and it will help.

There is a site with a picture of what it looks like.

My skin is so horrible i just want to scrape it off!?

i feel cursed. it's not fair so much people have good skin. people who eat all kinds of junk foods have healthy skin. and alot of people who are really pretty have both beauty and good skin....not fair!!!!!!!!!
My skin is so horrible i just want to scrape it off!?

My skin is so horrible i just want to scrape it off!?
Oh my God that's exactly how I feel right now.

Im going through the same thing and having the same feelings.

Don't worry, you're not alone. There's many other people out there who are having the same problems. Report It

Reply:There are a lot of cheap remedies for acne. First I'd recommend these supplements:

ZINC (very important, take it every day, but not too much - read the label and follow it) -- it heals the skin and helps fight the p.acne bacteria.

OMEGA-3 OILS (can be found in fish etc.) to reduce inflammation of the lesions.

A-Z vitamin tablets -- (NOT too many, follow the instructions on the pack) because according to some scientific journals, acne sufferers have low blood concentrations of vitamin E and A.

Then I'd recommend that you use the "dip" method to cleanse your skin. Make sure you have makeup removed from your skin. Start by filling the sink with warm/hot water, not too hot though. Then, hold your breath, and hold your face under for as long as you can. Pull up and return for oxygen, catch your breath, and then repeat for about 2 minutes. You may need to top the water up if it spills out.

Once finished, pat dry with a CLEAN towel.

This is by far the best cleansing method for oily skin, and it'll encourage your skin to flake and thus heal acne marks. Do it twice a day, morning and night, and you'll notice a major improvement.

Another thing you can do to reduce acne marks is to use apple cider vinegar in a 4:1 ratio. 4 parts vinegar to 1 part water. Dab it on the face with cotton wool as a cleanser, and it should fade the marks gradually.

If you're using a moisturiser, make SURE that it is NON-COMEDOGENIC. This means that it won't block up your pores. Do not use any old moisturiser. In fact, if your skin is oily and prone to acne, you probably shouldn't use moisturiser at all.

If all else fails, go to a doctor and he should prescribe you some topical or oral antibiotics, like tetracycline.

Hope this helps! Good luck.
Reply:hey there!!

you know i have that same feeling..im dark and have eczema scars all over my body too...i suffer from eczema and i have craked skin at practically every joint in my body! we have gone to practcally every dctor in town who prscribed various antibiotics and hydrocortisones that just dont wrk!..now we are trying some thing called homeopathy and my allergies are 10% better than the last two months!

anyways i was just trting to say there are worser things and pimples isnt the end of the world

(i dont intend to be mean in any way)

however,

i think some home-made remedies might help you!

You don’t need to be told that you have acne if you really have it. This is because you can see it for yourself and you obviously do not like if that way. Acne, like blackheads make you have spots on your face. If you have acne and do not like it that way, do not worry because there are people out there with acne and are looking for solution to it just like you.

In this article, I wIll show you how to get rid of acnes using what you have at your fingertips. I call it home made remedies for acnes. This is because the first thing you need to do is right there where you live. I mean in your compound and even in your kitchen.

In case you don’t know what acne is , it’s a skin disease that is caused by inflammation of the sebaceous glands it is common in adolescents. It is mainly made up of pimples and blackheads, especially on the face and neck, which if not properly treated may leave scars.

Perhaps you don’t have acne and you think this is not about you. I want you to think about that friend of yours or that close friend next door. what if you have acne? I’ve got good news for you and the good news is that I’ll show you in this few lines how to get rid of it.

This is how to do it, getting rid of acne using home made remedy is as easy as to put together a slicing lemon. The astringent features present in this fruit made it great acne home made remedy. All you have to do is rub a slice of lemon on your skin before you retire to bed at night and see how it looks like in the next day.

In the same vein, you can use tomatoes in the same way. So also is garlic which can be applied directly to the spots and even pimples. Another thing, to treat skin condition, like acne, scrapes and even cuts, you can make use of fruit juice.

Let me tell you this in a jiffy. Black heads are a major cause of acne. Consequently, to control black head is one easy way of preventing acne. To kill black heads on your face, the simple thing to do is rub toothpaste on your face and rinse twice a day. Remember, it is the paste and not the gel. It’s as simple as that!

here are a few, but if ur really intrested check out the sites i have listed below ok:

Certain affordable home remedies with lasting effects have proved to be quite effective in treating acne.

a) Sandalwood powder- Add a few drops of water to half a tablespoon of the powder. Apply all over the face. Avoid eye area. Let dry. Rinse. This fights acne and blemishes.

b) Almond meal and lemon rind- Make a facial scrub with 2 tablespoon almond meal, 1 tablespoon ground lemon rind and 3-4 tablespoon milk. Gently scrub your face and get rid of excess oil.

c) Clay mask- Mix 2 tablespoons of green clay with 2 drops of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of yogurt and 2 drops of lavender oil. Make a paste with water. Apply all over the face. Avoid eye area. Let dry. Rinse. Clay mask gives maximum benefit to the oily skin for it’s deep cleansing properties.

d) Cedarwood and sandalwood oil- Mix 2-3 drops of these two oils and gently massage over the face area. The combination of these two oils has a soothing effect, is an excellent skin conditioner for oily skin and treats acne and eczema.

e) Face mask- Take the white part from an egg. With it, mix 2 tablespoon clay/kaolin, 1 tablespoon oats, 1 tablespoon cornflower and enough rose water to make a paste. Add lavender oil and/or juniper berry oil. Mix well. Apply all over the face. Avoid eye area. Let dry. Rinse. Enjoy your soft, oil-free skin.

Reply:You may need to see a dermatologist but I understand they are expensive. What i suggest is that you do not mix products. My recommendation to anyone with Skin problems is Noxema. I love that stuff. Noxema makes your skin (with regular use) look you have foundation on and you have on no make up. They have a product out for blackheads it's blue and orange try that about $3.94 at some places. It's good. Use it and also as an astringer use SEA BREEZE, but it's expensive but it works GOOD. If that is too expensive try some cheap old Witch Hazel, apply with a cotton ball. It should do you justice. GOod luck and don't worry you are at the age when you start having acne.

And don't worry most of those celebreties have their face air brushed before they get on camera.
Reply:you should try benzoyl peroxide (it's the stuff that is in Proactive but it is a lot cheaper) use it at night and don't expose yourself to sunlight; try to be patient with it; in a week or two you'll see improvements. Good luck!!!
Reply:I know that acne is awful, but if acne is a curse then 10% of people and almost all adolescents are cursed, so you are not that special.

Food has little to do with acne, the main cause is the surge of hormones that comes with adolescence, and there is little you can do about hormones unless you go to a doctor for prescription medicines (birth control pills will usually help). If you go to the doctor you may even find out that you have one of several conditions that can aggravate acne.

But it is likely that your acne is not that exceptional, and that you are seeing your skin through the glasses of adolescence: "life is terrible and I am cursed". Try attacking your acne in all fronts: keep your pores open with alpha/beta exfoliator ands salicylic wash. Kill the acne bacteria, accelerate skin renewal, etc. If you manage to keep acne under control, many of the scars will go away (it depends how deep in your skin they are).

Good luck and best wishes

Hannah

Here is my acne guide:

Acne is a very common skin disorder in the USA. It affects about 85% of adolescents, and comedos, an early stage of acne that may or may not develop into acne, affects practically all teenagers. Getting older is not a guarantee either: the number of older people suffering from acne is increasing, affecting 8% of 25-34 year-olds and 3% of 35-44 year-old. This means that acne is normal, at least at some stage in our lives, but this does not make it any less painful and it is important to know that acne can be controlled and how.

What is acne?

Acne is a disease of the follicles, the pore where the hair is formed and sebum is secreted. Keratinocytes, which would normally be "shed", accumulate and plug the pore with the sebum acting as glue, and the result is a a microcomedo. Continued accumulation of materials will distend the pore, forming an open comedo, a blackhead. Oxidized lipids and melanin give blackheads their color.

Inside the comedo there is little oxygen and lots of sebum, an ideal medium for the acne bacterium, Propionibacterium acnes, to grow and multiply. The activity of the bacteria leads in turn to inflammation and irritation.

Cysts can develop when the contents of the sick follicle (keratinocytes, sebum and bacteria) spills into the surrounding dermis, producing a pustule (superficial), or, deeper papule or nodule.

What can we do?

First, remember that acne is not a trivial matter. Besides the psychological suffering, acne can leave scars, keloids andchanges in pigmentation, so it is important to control acne before it leads to permanent changes in the skin. Second, serious acne should be taken seriously and this means visiting your M.D. Some genetic problems show themselves as acne, and only tests ordered by your doctor can tell you whether your acne is “normal”, i.e. caused by the hormonal turmoil of adolescence or the menstrual cycle, or whether it is a symptom of polycystic ovarian syndrome or other health problems that cause an excess in the production of male hormones by the young woman.

To control acne:

1) Keep sebum secretion under control using sea kelp bioferment, niacinamide and EGCG from green tea.

2) Normalize keratinization and prevent the exfoliated keratinocytes from sticking together, closing the pore. Go for white willow bark extract, which will also reduce inflammation. Other helpful actives are sulfur, retinyl acetate (or other retinoids). Chemical peels will also help but make sure that the glycolic and other acids are not neutralized using bases like sodium hydroxide, a common ploy used to impress consumers with high concentrations of acid that will do nothing because they have been converted into (useless) salts.

3) Decrease inflammation with actives like white liquorice extract. Avoid steroids, anti-inflammatories that everybody likes because they are so fast. With prolonged use they may cause skin atrophy and steroid acne.

4) Kill acne bacteria: tea tree oil, Coleus essential oil. Propolis should also work but many of our clients do not like the smell. Avoid benzoyl peroxide, which will kill bacteria but will also age your skin and increase the probability of skin cancer.

5) For men and women: inhibit the activity of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase using saw palmetto and wild yam extracts, this active will reduce skin androgens, reducing the frequency of acne lesions.

What NOT to do

Don't use benzoyl peroxide. This chemical is a strong oxidant, and the idea is to use it to kill the acne bacteria. The problem is, you are killing your own cells too. There must have been a time when benzoyl peroxide seemed like a good idea, but with what we have learnt about the effect of oxidant on cells, and how the are a major cause of skin aging, it is time to forget about it and go for more sophisticated tools. Sophisticated does not mean more expensive. Skin Actives Scientific is now selling a kit for under $30 that will help control sebum production (and sebum is the bacteria's favorite food!), skin renewal (so that pores are kept open and do not turn into comedos) plus anti-inflammatory actives.

So, before you go for benzoyl peroxide, think long-term and give your skin a chance.
