Parasites in my rabbits skin look like giant fat worms...?

I was cleaning out the cage of my 8 month old rabbit and I noticed 2 bright red spots on her back, I thought they were ticks that had dug into her skin..I took her out of the cage and they were round holes all in her skin..when I felt around these holes I noticed something hard under each one..I squeezed them and the head of something started coming out..I kept squeezing and these were worms that looked like a grubworm..I thought it was a sack maybe left by flies but these worms moved, the holes in her skin are big enough to put tweezers in..can someone please help me find out what these things are and what caused them because the nearest vet is like 6 hours away.I dug these things out and applied anti-biotic but can someone identify with these things or find a site with photos and info on these things. They are short fat gray sometimes white hard worms..

I'm pretty sure I know what it is. I learned about them in my biology class. It could be the larvae of a bot fly. They burrow into the skin and leave a big hole. The video is really really gross, but it is a bot fly being taken out of a child's neck.

Hope I helped. I think once you get it out, everything will be okay as long as you keep the wound clean until it heals.

Reply:TAKE IT TO THE VET.

How do you know if you got all of these "worms"? What if they laid eggs in there?

Be a responsible owner. Take the rabbit to the vet.
