What causes the skin swell up when bitten by a flea, mosquito, or if scratched by a cat?
Your skin swells up due to reaction of mosquito/flea/catpaws cuttings in your body. Your body has a built in composition which is matched with your body. When mosquito/flea/Cat causes wound on your skin, the germs from these animals are transmitted in your body and causes reaction. Due to this direct reaction with your body, your skin swells up and causes irritation.

Its usually an allergic reaction to their toxins.
Reply:Actually the opposite, the body sends fluids to the area to protect it from the bacteria and further injury.

If you see white fluid, then that is the white antibodies trying to fight bacteria that have invaded... like me, it is happening right now in my nail bed, it's excruciating ... due to breaking a nail down the middle of my nail bed and they having glued it with my acrylic nail set yesterday. I squeezed it and white stuff came out all over.

I hope this infection works it way out because it's killing me.
Reply:Histamine.
