How can I eliminate the darkness under my eyes?

I always look like I haven't slept a wink. Under my eyes are real dark. I use make-up sometimes to blend it in with the rest of my face but that only works a couple of hours. The skin between the bottom of my chin and under my lip is also dark. It's mostly because of black heads and I've tried everything to get rid of them but they wont go away. Can anyone help me on either subject? It would greatly be appreciated!
How can I eliminate the darkness under my eyes?
How to Get Rid of the Black Rings Around Your Eyes

As the skin surrounding the eyes is sensitive compared to the other parts of the body, more attention is required. The darker your scars appear, older you look and your pretty face turns unkempt due to these circles. Besides the dark circles you may come across other problems like conjunctivitis, swellings and there are many severe problems like lymphoma, cataract, inflammation of iris, etc. There are a few suggestions mentioned for simple eye problems below. Your eyes are the index of your face value. The prettier your eyes look the more speedy attention you may attract from the public.

Regular skin care is required to maintain the area surrounding your eyes. Use a gel or a cream and rub it gently around the orbital bone. The orbital bone is the area that falls directly under the eye structure. Be careful not to rub harshly when you rub around the eye area. The harsh rubbing can only lead to more irritation.

Apply the cream to the skin and relax for sometime. If you have to put on a facemask, then soak the little cotton pads into the soap water and place it on the eyes when they are closed. Otherwise, you may use them around 2 cucumber slices to make your eyes cooler. In this way you can provide a pleasant feeling to your eyes. And you can get rid of your dark circles around your eyes quickly. Your skin will glow when these circles vanish.

Whenever you experience problems like sore eyes due to harmful infrared rays, wind or after using water with chlorine, then rinse your eyes thoroughly with enough distilled water. Mix rose water with about 1-2 tablespoons in distilled water. Give a suitable bath to the eyes.

Sometimes you may develop mild swelling on your eyes. This mainly occurs due to the excess fluid that is accumulated or the toxins that are present within the eye. In this case, gently rub around your eyes so that the lymphatic nerves are activated. By doing this you will be able to relax faster. If you still want to provide a soothing and a cooling effect to your eyes, then apply cream or gel. Keep them in the fridge for nearly one day and rub them around your skin delicately.

Vinegar or lemon juice, but be careful not to get this inside your eyes. It stings.

Girl you have to go to a place that use 'light' on problems like this. Its may not be cheep...but it works.

Find first a beauty clinic...............or a dermatoligist..o.k.

Its not painful also, which is good and does last....
Reply:try tea bags for the eye darkness, wet a tea bag in warm water squeeze it and place it on the dark eye area leave on for 15 to 20 min- also I've heard cucumbers round slice place on eyes helps. for the black heads place a warm towel on the area to soften and wipe away-warm towel or warm water helps to soften the black heads and easier to remove--if that doesn't help ask the pharmacist there pretty friendly and will suggest a remedied
Reply:darkness underneath the eyes is what happens if your not getting enough circulation around your eyes. i read a ad about this but i dont remember the medication your suppose to take. i would suggest asking your doctor
Reply:Remember to get lots of sleep. Have you tried proactive?
Reply:When my iron levels are low, I get dark circles under my eyes.

Before you start taking an iron supplement, I recommend you get your blood tested for iron levels.

As for your blackheads, try some tea tree oil. You can find it at Wal-Mart.
Reply:You should see a dermatologist. They make fabulous products these days that aren't very expensive. I work for a dermatologist and see this all the time. A good doctor can help you, there's no need to suffer!

But with the black heads. I used proactive (sp) for awhile. It seemed to work until my skin decided to break out in red spots. I have really sensitive skin. I'm using Clean and Clear black head scrub. It's really great. My face feels clean, and I don't see any blemishes.

I know what youre thinking "thats a viganal unit wipe or oinment!!!!" but no it actually works.

And if you were wondering NO I did NOT get this from material girls. I got it from expirience [[my mom]]
Reply:There are under-eye products that are specifically made for darkness. They're a gold-ish color, and they're intended to change the darker, bluish, color. You add foundation or a liquid concealor. I would think if you brought touch-up make-up with you you could freshen up the make-up when you need to. Usually, a good concealor doesn't wear off even if some foundation does.

The only thing I can think of with regard to the blackheads is you must have a very oily chin, and whatever you're doing to wash your face isn't enough. If you've tried the facial scrubs aimed at blackheads and tried some of the astringents used after cleaning, I wonder if what you need to do is see a dermatologist. You do have to be careful not to use something like a terry facecloth to scrub because you'll irritate the skin and make breakouts. The blackheads are there because oil (and maybe dirt) is clogging your pores. Maybe when you wash your face (hottest water you can stand but finish with cold water to close the pores) you need to wash it two or three times rather than once; and maybe you need to do this face-washing routine three or four times a day every day.

I know they say not to squeeze them, but if I had them I think I'd start by doing that (the site below backs me up but stresses it has to be gentle squeezing) and then follow up with the use of a cleanser for oil skin, a follow-up product, and the washing routine.

Reply:Dark circles are usually genetic. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet, drinking enough water, and getting enough sleep. If they still persist you could consider seeing a cosmetic surgeon. There are new lasers that can help with this. Nothing over the counter really works. You will end up just wasting money.

For blackheads I recommend Proactiv. It is marketed for acne, but works wonders for blackheads too.

Good luck.
Reply:i know this sounds really gross but i have heard to put preparation h on it.... and it will reduce bags under your eyes as well...
Reply:I use "Lighten up plus" which I order through Avon and is under $10. I used to have bad dark-circles and now their partically gone! It really works and is easy to apply. You should order it. Good luck! :^D
Reply:well first sleep well and for a long duration. then put cucumber on the places its dark b4 sleepin and also put besan mixed with haldi and milk n put it fot about 30min b4 bath.also try some anti-marks cream.
Reply:for the blackheads you can squeeze them and then 20 volume bleach them (add a protinator for quick action, or buy the 30 volume). Then on a regular basis you can use Stridex pads to pull the dirt out of your pores. It's probably just perspiration built up. Later on you can use rubbing alcohol on those perspiration areas, under your make-up or when your face has perspired.

for the darkness under the eyes you can use a product called Physician's Formula brand concealer that you can buy at places like Walgreens. It's yellow and you use it under makeup.
Reply:To eliminate darkness under ur eyes, put potato juice with a cotton swab on that area before u go to bed.
Reply:hi try to get more sleep, also try using more soap and a face cloth more often:)
Reply:for ur bags or dark circles under the eye, take a teaspoon or a spoon (whicheva u fancy) and leave it in the deep freezer overnite. in the morning take a 30 minute beauty repair regime and place the spoons over both ur eyes. make sure not to press too hard as u mite injure ur self. but place them there until the spoon becomes warm again. and before long u'll see it working. i do it so it does work. weneva i have had a long nite out or too little sleep with bags and dark rings. i do this treatment and im sorted

as for ur black heads, try the Oxy black head remover, it worked for me. or maybe im one of those lucky people that have obedient skin. but give it a go gal.
Reply:for under eye dark circles: dark circles are mainly caused because of deficiency of vitamins. vitamins can be lost in the body due to exposure to the sun, lack of sleep and also lack of nutrition especially greens. u need to make sure u have a fixed set of timings for sleep. atleast 8 hours a day and this should be set.. if you go to sleep at 10 pm then u shud sleep at 10 pm everyday and wake up at teh same time everyday... its calleld the beauty sleep.. it can do wonders.. keep your face as clean as can be... do not use make up for a some days...you could use the Loreal vitamin E moisturising pan stick which is a good concealer..also drink lots of water... use cucumberor potato slices,,, apricot slices would be best for undereye dark circles..

for under the chin : ofcourse first of all u need to go for a clean up to begin working on this problem... after teh clean up at teh parlour,, keep your face absolutely clean all the time...keep it moisturised and wash it everytime you come home and everytime you are stepping out and make sure you use a sunscreen each time... you could try this ayurvedic cream called "face to face".. oh and also use the ayurvedic soap called 'medimix'...it worked wonders for my skin instantly when my face had begun to go bad...it was totally renewed in just a few days...trust me... if all this helps then do get bak to me n let me know... take care...all the best...im sure it will help...
Reply:I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH A VITAMIN DEFICIENCY, BUT PLEASE CHECK IT OUT FURTHER
Reply:Some people's skin naturally is darker under the eyes. It really sucks, and there's no 'permanent' way to get rid of them, unless you sleep until noon everyday and go to bed at one. But here's some blackhead ideas...

Don't pick at your face (you know, try to pop them out...). It makes your face really red and puffy, and looks disgusting for the next few weeks if you accidentally make yourself bleed. Clinique has a WONDERFUL 3 Step Process for cleaning up your skin, and the best part is; it's personalized! Go to a nearby department store and go to the Clinique section. Talk to one of the people behind the counter, and they'll probably ask you questions about your skin to try and help you find the best soap, astrigent, and gel for you. If you've got big pores, you can even talk to them about the Pore Minimizer Serum, a lotion you can put on right after the 3 Step Process.

Preparation H for under eye puffiness?

I'm wondering if this is damaging to the skin, and do you apply moisturizer over or under it?

Please only serious, educated answers.

~Thanks!
Preparation H for under eye puffiness?
oldest trick of the trade - you don't need much - one part of preparation H to three part with your daily moisturizer mixed together - light application by patting around the eye area should help firm up the skin
Preparation H for under eye puffiness?
I heard it is bad for your skin and can be very harmful if it gets in your eye, they suggest the best remedy for puffy eyes is putting a cold press on it like cold cucumbers.
Reply:This trick is also great for minimizing blemishes! Use PrepH to reduce the size or swelling of the zit and Visine to get the red out!

Two words of wisdom... One, don't use it every day, just for special occasions or when it's REALLY bad... better to get more sleep and drink lots of water every day than to have to rely on PrepH. Two, only use the CREAM variety, not the ointment. The ointment is greasy and can clog pores and make your makeup run... It can also creep up into your eye causing SERIOUS irritation and damage! That's the LAST thing you want! Make sure not to use it if you know you're going to be sweating a lot like in a hot nightclub or outside in the sun.
Reply:Yup, it controls and reduces swelling. I also know of a product made by South Beach Skincare that works wonders on dark circles, under eye puffiness, sagging skin, and other premature aging concerns. It's really an all-in-one anti aging treatment moisturizer.

How do you get rid of darkness under your eye?
You can cover it with several cover makeups, but Avon and I am sure other companies have products that they advertise.

They claim to do away with the dark under the eyes. I too am

very light and have dark circles under the eyes. I plan to try the

Avon product and see how that works.

A moisturizing face cream with SPF 15 or better.

To get rid of the sun tan, possibly spend less time in the sun.

use almond oil to massage on your face to get rid of dryness.

To get rid of the sun tan, possibly spend less time in the sun; you can also try a body lotion that gradually tans the skin without using the sun.

Reply:For your delicate eye area, I use Arbonne's NutriMinC RE9 Repair, Corrective Eye Cream. It really moisturizes the delicate area around the eyes. Also, you don't mention your age, but the whole Arbonne NutriMin C RE9 skin care line and the Arbonne Before Sun skin care line is really beneficial in helping sun-damaged skin. Also, they have a line of skin care called Arbonne Intelligence; one of the products in that line is called Arbonne Intelligence Skin Conditioning Oil...which works great on really dry areas of skin, it contains pecan oil, avocado oil, hazel seed oil and other botanical oils. Is it possible for a female to keep her skin so youthful and flawless if she smokes?

I wonder how an actress like Scarlet Johanson keeps her skin youthful and flawless since she smokes.

I don't smoke or do anything that could harm my skin. But my skin has shone signs of aging (like lines under my eyes and wrinkles on my face) and I'm only 22. I think it's the result of sun damage from all these years.
Is it possible for a female to keep her skin so youthful and flawless if she smokes?
lol, well..Celeberties get the best of everything so..That probably has something to do with it. But i'm sure with time, you'll start seeing some somking side effects.

As for your problem..Yeah, you're probably right about the sun damage thing. About 80 percent of sun damage is caused before the age of 18.

And keep on non-smoking! ;p

If you had Hollywood makeup folks at your beck and call, you'd be all set too.
Reply:yeah very possible for anyone

Take rich diet

consult some good nutrition expert

for line under your eyes put some milk cream everyday.

it helped mine frnd a lot

may be can useful for u also
Reply:Good Question: The problem is that it is a difficult one to answer. Sun damage is much worse than smoking. I have put cream on my face for 40 years, every day without fail. I do not have deep line or wrinkles and I am nearly an OAP and I smoke.

Please try to protect yourself whilst in the sun. Use a high factor at least a 30 in this country and 50 when abroad. You will still get a lovely tan but without the damage. I use factor 15 even in spring when I am working in the garden. Good luck.
Reply:She has a lot of money to get botox if she needs to... professional makeup artist. And computers to remove her flaws.
Reply:Yeah she can smoke hell and still be be flawless because she has money to get beauticians to make her look that way.I bet you to take a knife and rip her chest open and then you'll know that she is not okay.
Reply:it's probably sun damage. the people that smoke must get skin stuff that costs like millions of dollars or something. but smoking does damage you're skin when u get older.
Reply:Yes, I'm regretting all the years I laid in the sun as a teenager. I don't smoke but have some wicked crows feet, compliments of no sunscreen or sunglasses and sun worshiping.
Reply:Yes, you can keep your face looking young. You just have to use alot more skin care treatments (even if you don't smoke) than most women in general. When you smoke, your skin is considered "troubled skin." The very most important things to do is use eye cream (w/ spf), moisturize, sleep and drink alot of water on a daily basis. Also do wear sunglassess if possible. The one thing I notice when I smoke.. is my throat gets dry, BUT my body is telling me I'm not thirsty. Smoking will suppress your appetite for the need of hydration! It will make you lose alot of moisture from your face and hydration from inside. So alot of the time, what I would do is..keep a glass/bottle of water next to me before I smoke. To remind myself.. =)

Alot of people look 30 when they're really like twenty, because they make the mistake of not paying attention to their bodies and lack of hydration and just simply taking care of themselves.

I been smoking for 4 years and people tell me I look 16. =D

So.. yeah I'm alittle happy about that (lol)
Reply:Ok hun, I'm an actor and for me my face and body are my job.

I'm also a surfing addict, so I've been out in the sun pretty much all my life, i'm 26 now and I get carded to buy scratch off tix..lol..anyways, here are the best tips I have gotten from industry people through the years, and at an affordable price.

if you keep smoking, and I hope you won't because it's nasty and it causes lung cancer, just make sure you are drinking lots of water everyday, use spf face cream after your shower, and before you go to bed...but the best thing I can tell you, and it has taken off yrs off my face is this...3 times a week, I wash my face with dove soap and warm water to open up my pores, after i'm done, I'll grab three ice cubes and rub them in a circular motion all over my face until they are completely melted...it's kinda cold at first but you'll get over that, beleive me hun, my face has never looked healthier and younger, by the time you are 50, you will look 30, trust me...it gets me young roles..I play 17 yr olds..thats my secret, now you have it..try it, you'll be happy with the results....
Reply:no

dont smoke
Reply:a big portion of celebrities' paychecks go to overall beauty maintenance because it's needed for the job.. otherwise, people won't patronize them if they get blemished or overweight.. so i'm sure what needs to be done to keep smooth skin is always handy..

for smokers who can't keep up with that kinda maintenance, simply take a minimum dose of 1000mg of vitamin C daily. :-)
Reply:Makeup!

I would put some moisturizing cream on your face every day with a bit of sun protection on it. My mom does that, and her skin is very youthful for a 46 year old who tans and smokes.
Reply:If you are trying to reduce wrinkles, try to check out lifecell.

I've been using LifeCell for two months and I must say that I'm really happy with the results because I can see that my wrinkles start disappearing.

The reason LIfecell work so well is because LifeCell provides Acetyl Hexapeptides 鈥?3, also found in upscale creams like Est茅e Lauder Perfectionist [CP+] which is used to interrupt the cycle of irritation that creates wrinkles.

However Lifecell is bit pricey though.. it's $189.00 per bottle and it reflects the use of these expensive affective ingredients.

The beauty of LifeCell Anti-Aging is that you can take advantage of a try it free - pay no money for 30-days, 120-days, double your money back guarantee.

Swollen under the toenail?

I am used to ingrown nails/toenails because I get them all the time, so I know how to take care of them. But this time I had my middle toe nail getting very swollen. I cut the part that seemed to be bothering the skin but it wasn't going away. Next day it was swollen all around the nail and I even could see white collor underneath it, which I never had before. I cut it again and eventually it went away. Only the problem was the swollen under my nail eventually disattached my nail from the skin and now I am hoping my nail will get back. I heard that you are supposed to get your nail drilled to release the swollen but since I didn't have much pain and it was so quick, I didn't go to see the doctor. My toe looks healthy and fine and I keep a bandage on it. Did anyone have a similar experience? Anything I can do to prevent from swollening underneath again? Dont get me wrong. I didn't wait for days to go away. The swollen happened overnight and now I have to wait months to get a nail back.
Swollen under the toenail?
I had a similar thing happen from trail running. My second toe hit the front of my shoe too much on the downhill parts. Anyway, that swelling was really like a water-filled blister. I used a sterilized needle and pierced and drained the blister for a few days until it went away completely. Most of the pain I felt was related to the upward pressure on my nail from the blister. Unfortunately, I ended up losing the toenail and kept a Band-Aid over it until it was healed (and until I began to get new toenail growth). Now though, it looks fine and you would not be able to tell that my toe went through such drama!
Swollen under the toenail?
oh i m sorry 2 hear bout it, hope it gets betta, doz it hurtalot??
Reply:ow that's sad girl I hope it works out for ya I feel your pain I get ingrown toenails alot from cutting them to short hope it grows quickly
Reply:Looks like you got the area infected and need a short course of antibiotics. I have seen this a lot when people try to treat their own toenails and dig underneath the nail bed or into the skin. This allows the bacteria to get in and make the toe swollen and infected. If you really are suffering from chronic ingrown toenails, you should go see a podiatrist who fix them for you for good so you don't have suffer with them. As a general rule, don't mess with the skin or go underneath the nail as that can damage the nail and in your case lose the nail because of the infection. It'll grow back, but in the future, please go see a doctor. I'd hate for you to pick up a fungus or get chronic infections of your toe. Hope this helps!
