How come people that live in hot countries dont get skin cancer?

i know all about the whole different skin thing and the darker you are the more protected you are. but even fair skinned people still live in these conditions. they are under the sun all day long (you dont have to sunbath to get a colour) you could be just walking around. if i moved to the bahamas and just lived like a normal person (wearing less clothes because of the heat) would i be prone to skin cancer as a person who is sunbathing?

Usually in hot countries there is a little more wind. All the residents need to do is find shade and the wind will cool them.

when ppl are exposed to a certain climate for generations, their bodies build up natural defenses to the enviornment around them. ppl who live in hot climates where there's a lot of sunshine tend to have more pigment in their skins. it helps block some of the suns more harmful rays.
