Any dermatologists or skin care specialists? Please help.?

I have a few light acne scars, and large pores. However I wanted a facial treatment that is gentle and treats the kind of scarring that are very very light in holes. They're very small, however I want to achieve smoothness in my skin, without the fading of skin tone.

I'm able to NOT wear make up and it looks fine, however under bright lights they become more visible. I just want to achieve natural SMOOTH skin, without the worry of having to suffocate it with make up.

I have heard of this extensive facial that has proved to work on my mum.

Extensive facial:

Deep cellular cleanse, vapour, suction. lymph drainage, infusion

and aromatherapy face and neck massage.

I just wanted to know what you think of this facial and exactly what it does to the skin. I have heard about microdermabrasions and the AHA peel however the AHA peel proved to do nothing whilst the microdermabrasion requires regular treatment. I just want something quick easy and simple before I go to Uni.

Thanks

Dark Under-Eye circle cause listed, asking for validity!?

How true is this? and What is a solution?

Your shiners, your raccoon eyes, your blue luggage... whatever you call your dark under-eye circles, here's what they really are: oxidizing hemoglobin.

Dark under-eye circles begin in the capillaries, the tiny blood vessels that web the delicate skin around the eyes. Now, your capillaries are so small that red blood cells sometimes have to line up, single file, to get through. Frequently, red blood cells get lost and wander into the surrounding skin. This isn't a problem - it happens all the time - and your body has a mechanism to mop up these escapees. Enzymes in your body break down the red blood cells, including their hemoglobin (the molecule that gives them their distinctive red color).

No problem, right? Except for one thing: when hemoglobin is broken down, its remaining components have a dark blue-black color. Just like a bruise. So your dark under-eye circles are actually caused by leaky capillaries.

Celtic Skin, What is the best way to take care of my skin?

I have gold/blonde hair blue eyes and very very fair skin.

I have almost no pigment at all except a little pinkish color.

My skin is extremely sensitive, breaking out and getting a rash from the smallest thing. I read something somewhere saying that women with celtic skin will show aging signs earlier than women with darker skin. What products or naturals can i use to keep my skin young and less prone to breakouts and rashes?

And what should i use when i get them? Im 28 now and showing more aging under eyes than my 35 year old boyfriend.

Wich isnt much yet but, Eek! Any suggestions are appreciated.
Celtic Skin, What is the best way to take care of my skin?
I guess you could say my husband has celtic skin because he too has extremely fair skin, blonde hair, blue/gray eyes, the works...I always tease him for being as fair as they come. He too has extremely sensitive skin, he even gets rashes if a deoderant is too harsh. His skin breaks out if he doesn't wash it a lot and moisturize. Something I've noticed that's really improved his skin is something I bought from an ebay store called: Sher Essence, it's a whipped body butter (called body frosting) made of sweet almond oil and shea butter...it's homemade. If you don't want to order from a seller on ebay there are places you can find natural high grade shea butter products. They don't clog and are ultra-moisturizing without causing rashes. Good luck

Painful bump under my armpit?

it's an internal bump!

i woke up this morning, i had a bearable pain under my arm pit (i thought, why do i have pain under there?)... i felt it, and then i felt the bump underneath my skin.

what is it??!! im shaking!

i asked my mom and she said that i might have pulled a muscle from swimming... but i thought no way, not under there!!

help!!
Painful bump under my armpit?
yeah you might have pulled a muscle, but go see your doctor immediately!!!!!!!! it could be something dangerous
Painful bump under my armpit?
the Way you described it i think we all did our best but yr mom knows yo u best till keep an eye on it just in case Report It

Reply:"STILL"i meant to type not till Report It

Reply:its a pimple
Reply:lump in the arm pit. Tell you mom the take you to the doctor. What is she thinking. You have alot of some thing going on there and you need to get it checked out.
Reply:There are lymph nodes in that area, if it doesn't show improvement very soon, I would see a doctor... it's better to be safe than sorry.
Reply:Axillary infections are infections of the skin or lymph nodes located in the armpits. The most frequent cause of axillary infections is shaving the hair of the armpits which can result in small irritated bumps or cut skin. These bumps or cuts may then be subject to bacterial invasion, causing infections.

Young girls, who have just recently begun shaving under the armpits, are most at risk for axillary infections. Axillary infections can be reduced by using soap and water while shaving and by making sure the razor used is clean. This can generally be accomplished by dipping the razor in alcohol for about sixty seconds prior to use.

Axillary infections may also be the result of ingrown hairs occurring after one uses depilatory creams like Nair庐 or when one has his or her armpits waxed. Axillary infections of this type may feel like a hard bump that is painful to the touch. Should such a bump not resolve with hot compresses within a day or two, or should the bump start releasing pus, one should see a doctor.

In some cases, waxing may result in axillary infections if a bacterium contaminates the wax. Though these infections are rare, those who get such an infection should alert the salon where one had the waxing done, and also see a doctor for treatment with antibiotics.

Often bumps in the armpits are not indicative of axillary infections, but are indications of infections in other parts of the body. The armpits have lymph nodes that can become swollen when one is fighting off either bacterial or viral infections. It is not uncommon, particularly in children, to have a swollen lymph node for several months after an illness.

However, lumps in the armpits may also be indicative of breast cancer. Thus a lump that does not resolve in a few days should always mean getting medical attention quickly. Some women manifest breast cancer with a lump in the armpit first. Breast self-exams should always include the armpits to provide a baseline analysis so one can note differences in subsequent exams.

Occasionally axillary infections are yeast-based infections. This may happen to those who have recently taken antibiotics, or to those who are immunosuppressed. The underarms may appear red and feel itchy. They may also exhibit a minor rash. If one has never had a yeast infection under the arms, then one should see a doctor. Usually, one will be treated with topical anti-fungal creams to help rid one of the infection. Any deodorant used during this time should not be shared with other members of a household, and should be discarded a few days into treatment to prevent re-infection.

Small cysts may occur in the armpits as well, and may become infected. These axillary infections may require removal of the cyst, or hot compresses, and oral antibiotics to resolve the cysts. A doctor should always evaluate these cysts to rule out cancer. Large cysts may require needle biopsy to be certain the lump is benign.

One can often distinguish between cysts and lumps caused by cancer because cysts tend to be painful, whereas lumps are not. However, this alone is not enough to rule out cancer. Any lump in the axillary regions necessitates medical evaluation.

..admit it, I've got the best answer.
Reply:I don't want to scare you but it is possible it's a cyst, or it could be a boil. Tell your mom to take you to the doctor, regardless of what it is don't wait until it's to late.
Reply:perhaps it is an ingrown hair. You can develope cyst, boils or abcesses from ingrown or infected hair folicles. put a warm compress on it and see if that helps. Otherwise just check with your doctor.
Reply:In my experience, bumps under my armpits are zits. Squeeze it as hard as you can bear, and if nothing comes out, wait a few days. Squeeze it again, and if nothing comes out, repeat again in a few days after that. If you get really worried, go check up with a doctor.
Reply:I had the same thing and so did my friend, she was worried 2,but becuz I had already gone thru it she was able 2 relax, cancerous lumps ususally dont hurt cyst do,mine was pressing against muscle and nerves and my whole arm started 2 ache, they removed it and I felt 100% better, never think the worst, but also have a fair amount of concern 4 something that appears on your body and hurts, that is not the norm, take care.
Reply:sounds like it could be a cyst, nothing real bad talk to your doctor

Best foundation under $20.00?

I am looking for a good foundation under $20.00. Any brand in the US.

Here are a few things about my skin if it helps...

- I have skin on the pale side.

- I do not have acne, so I just need a lighter foundation to even out my skin tone.

I don't want anything that is heavy, somthing that's light, but makes my skin look good.

Any suggestions?
Best foundation under $20.00?
bare minerals...or go to any ULTA or Sephora store to get color matched and expirement with the foundations. Each person has a preference to the type of foundation used, and from what you said about your skin, you dont have a need to use much. A Liquid foundation is light, and provides light coverage while moisturizing your face, cream is much thicker in coverage, and then powder is light coverage, but sticks to dry patches, and can look chalky. Also remember that when using a foundation, also use the same type of blush (i.e. cream foundation, cream blush)...Have you ever also considered a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 ? Oil of Olay makes one, so does Cover Girl, and if you want to spend a little more, there is a super great one by laura mercier.
Best foundation under $20.00?
Bare Minerals....go on line and look at the web site...I started using it and I will never use anything else again.
Reply:"Rimmel" brand is a good makeup, and is under $20.
Reply:Maybelline's Mousse foundation is my all time favorite budget foundation. It is light, airy, and doesn't feel oily or have a lot of build up. I have more acne prone skin and this foundation didn't irritate it or break out.

It also makes your skin tone look even and soft. It looks like you aren't wearing anything at all. Your skin looks good and feels good. It doesn't feel heavy at all.
Reply:Clinique has a great selection of foundations in alot of colors from pale to dark, and every skin type. Although they do run right at the $20 mark, its absolutely worth it.
Reply:Try a Beauty Supply named Sally's, I believe they have what you are looking for. Try Macy's they have, Estee, Max, or Mac...Get liquid because you can layer that on with a sponge.Dust translucent powder on with a brush. If you think it's too heavy you can splash your face with water and pat dry. That sets make-up usually and doesn't harm coverage, makes it lighter, more see through.
Reply:I'd suggest a mineral makeup foundation like Everyday Minerals. I'm not acne prone and have a pretty even skin tone, but the mineral makeup I uses does a really impressive job at bringing that out even more so. And you definitely can't feel it on your face.
Reply:check the links below for Product revew on - * Top Ten Foundations

Reply:A lot of foundations will make you break out if you have ever had brake out problems...If you don't have sensitive skin go for a mousse...I love mabaleens mousse..Its amazing..But if you break out easy try Arbonne liquid foundation. Its amazing...And it won't make you break out...You can find it online and by a person who sells it.

Hope I could help!!

I'm 25. Are any of these creams good for me to avoid ' smile lines and under eye wrinkle?(Please note the deta

I'm 25 and have a normal skin type.

My skin used to be oily when I was a teenager but now I can categorize my skin in dry than oily type.

I have noticed I'm getting little wrinckles under my eyes and I want to avoid them too. I have a very sensitive skin and I think I'm getting both smile line around my mouth and some little winckles under my eyes. I have'nt yet used any moisturing or under eye cream, but I want to use them from now...

I want to know what are the good products for my case and in my age(25-26) ....for ' under eye' and 'moituring (specially for smile lines)' and when and how should I apply them.

1. Is ' Lierac' under eye cream a good one? ( I want it to be effective for my age, not too strong though.)

2. I have these CLINIQUE creams ... Are they good for me? and if so, how and when should I apply them to my skin? and what are they good for? What is your idea about using them for'moisturizing' or 'under eye' or etc (?) in my case?

a)LANCOME. Absolute Replenishing cream.(ABSOLUE)

b)CLINIQUE total turnaround visible skin renewer.

c)CLINIQUE deep comfort body butter(Intensively replenishing. Wraps dryness-prone spots and the body all over in soothing, penetrating moisture.

The first rule to always remember is to never, ever ,ever forget to wear sunblock. It will help you to avoid aging more than anything else!!!

Most creams are good but ones that contain seaweed are excellent for the skin. Suave Firming lotion has seaweed in it and you won't have to break your piggy bank open.

Red raised rash under arm?

I live in NH and we are having a really bad issue with deadly Staph infections. My friend just caught staph and she has a rash all over her arms....now I have a red raised rash under my arm. Its like a dull purple red solid mass of raised skin covering my entire armpit. It smells kinda like infection too. Also, as far as I can tell I am not sweating from that arm either as I never have BO under that arm even after strenous activity, which is odd since I have stopped using antipersprent under that arm since this started. I also have a similar rash under my nipple on that side that I have had for a few months. I have used hydrocortisone cream, triple antibiotic ointment and even Lanolin to see if it was just dry. Nothign helped....what can it be....can it be staph?
Red raised rash under arm?
I have had something similar which was a yeast infection. I used over the counter medication but it wasn't strong enough. Had to get a prescription. Suggest you see your doctor. May or may not spread but you don't want to take that chance.
Red raised rash under arm?
It could be staph - but it could also be something else. If the skin is scaly / flaky and the rash itches - it could be a sebborheic dermatitis - an autoimmune rash - your skin is attacking itself. This is not to suggest any for of flesh eating bacteria mind you - many people have this disorder. I would suggest seeing a Dr. - Dermatologist would be better - ASAP. Also - I would suggest you stop putting hydro-cortisone on the rash until you are seen - the steroid in it could actually make the condition worse. In the mean time - keep the area as dry as possible and keep lotions to a minimum. You could also be allergic to something either perfume based or an ingredient in something. Get it looked at by a Doc.
