I am 20 old male black african with light skin. My skin gets worse when I use margarines such as blueband or under stress. I avoid margarines and their type since 2006. My skin does not look nice, it has blemishes. Which chemist cream or lotion etc. will be good for me. A unilliver, bdf etc product.
My skin has rashes, acne and pimples. Which product available in Kenya is best for me? Is proactive good?
Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin鈥檚 pores are obstructed or infected. The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care.Helpful solutions for pimples at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

If you can get tea tree oil it's good for acne and pimples, it dries them quickly with no side effects.
I've used Proactive for years and it's wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

Help troubled skin!?
I am 19 and have dry skin, yet my skin still tends to break out. also i have wrinkles under my eyes and they are starting to spread. I use sunscreen, i don't smoke, or drink. Any help about getting rid of the wrinkles and improving my skin? thanks!
Help troubled skin!?
Try using a face lotion and wash that has AHA (alpha-hydroxy). This is what my dermotologist suggested and I have similar skin (with the dryness and the breaking out). It works so far!

proactiv helps some.....ISH
Reply:well if you don't get enough sleep or if there are lots of fats in your diet it could lead to your skin breaking out. also if your on any medication or if you swim in a pool that could be a reason there are lots of reasons why but proactive works the best i swear, it helps so much and it clears it up really fast so hope it helps good luck.
Reply:Use oil free moisturizer for your dry skin. It doesnt clog your pores and you feel refreshed after using it. For me i use Olay and you dont even need a lot when you put it on.
For breakouts, i would say that make sure you change your pillowcase everyone in awhile because if you sleep on it everynight you get the germs and face oils and dirt on it so once you hit your face to that pillow they get back on your face right after you wash it. But it helps to change your pillow case. :) Wrinkles? well i dont know how to solve that one, sorry. hope that helps. good luck solving this.

How to eliminate dark skin in a natural way without going to doctor for laser or surgery?
I have a friend whose problem is eliminating dark skin (i.e. back of the neck, armpits, elbows, under the thighs, knees %26amp; buttocks) or lessening the dark spot (i.e. pimple or stretch marks caused by too much scratching during menstrual period) without going to the doctor for surgery or laser coz she wants to try a natural, unexpensive way of solutioning her problem. My friend is getting quite shy %26amp; embarrassed and was not able to wear sleeveless blouse or dress, not even a swimsuit becoz of this problem though she have a good figure. Please advise.
How to eliminate dark skin in a natural way without going to doctor for laser or surgery?
apply lemon juice mixed with honey and pinch of salt and turmeric powder.
THIS IS NATURAL BEST METHOD
How to eliminate dark skin in a natural way without going to doctor for laser or surgery?
There are skin lighteners available at many cosmetic stores which can be applied orally or through a 'mask' system. (These are very popular in Japan where woman wish to be as white as possible). As for the stretch mark scars they can be remedied using Mederma which has proven effective for such situations although it will not completely remove the scar.
Hope this helped!
Reply:Use of lemon
If u have an oily skin, u can go 4 it without any hesitation.
But if u have a dry skin mix lime juice and honey in 1:1 ratio and apply.
or u could use Kasturi Manjal + Rakthachandanam (though it isn't easily available other than in South India) mixed with rose water which is the secret of the glowing skin of malayalis.

Reply:I'm a licensed esthetician, a skin care professional of mixed ethnicity. I have darker areas myself and have also worked with natural products. One thing I recommend for stretch marks is a product called strixaderm md. it is like strivectin; but is a lot cheaper. For the knees there are several inexpensive products at beauty supply stores like Sally's. And lines such as common as Aveeno and Neutrogena are coming out with natural soy based products like bath gel scrubs, lotions, and facial care which will lighten also. You can also usually get generic versions of Mederma and other scar treatments like patches that you stick on for 3 days at a time. The only thing to keep in mind with some of the natural products is patience, because they tend to work a little bit more slowly, depending on how severe the problem area is; average 8 weeks. But they are definitely healthier for you. Two really great books to check out with tips like this are: Brown Skin by Dr. Susan Taylor, and Beautiful Skin of Color - A Comprehensive Guide to Asian, Olive, and Dark Skin by Jeanine Downie, Fran Cook-Bolden %26amp; Barbara Taylor. Prescribed Bactrim for a skin infection...are there any better antibiotics if it spreads to lymph node?
My friend burned her wrist and arm and delayed medical treatment. Finally, she went to urgent care and they prescribed Bactrim...which she did not purchase, but was given avelox by another friend (not a good choice for skin infection). Today, she complains of large swollen lump under her arm in armpit area...aka lymphatic involvement...what can i do to convince her to go back to doctor or at least advise her of complications?
Prescribed Bactrim for a skin infection...are there any better antibiotics if it spreads to lymph node?
Although bactrim is very old drug, it is as good as anything for skin infections. It is, for example, much better the Avelox for most skin infections, although this latter drug may cost $100 for a week's supply. Bactrim costs $4 or less.
If your friends lymph node is very sore, or she has a fever, she may well need to be hospitalized and receive iv antbiotics. A very large node may presage difficult complications. She should be evaluated soon, even if her condtion seems milder now...
Prescribed Bactrim for a skin infection...are there any better antibiotics if it spreads to lymph node?
I had a mri..because of a groin pull....what the mri revealed was that I had swollen lymph nodes in the groin area...
and, I had to see a dr....what I discovered was that I had lymes in my system...and, corrected that with a mega dose of antiboitics...
my point is that anytime a lymph node is enlarged, its for a reason, as, my past experience..(not because of improper meds).
your friend needs to see a doctor.
Reply:Easiest way to treat infection is oral antibiotics. If that doesn't work because the infection becomes too complicated, then a stay in the hospital for an IV may be needed. If IV antibiotics can't be used (or are not effective)because treatment was delayed, then surgical means may be taken (with possible amputaion)
Personally, I prefer taking bactrim as the doctor prescribed to surgery.

I HAVE OILY SKIN.HOW DO I LOOK FRESH %26amp; GLOW EVERYTIME? EVEN UNDER THE SUN?PLZ SUGGEST ANY HOMEMADE PRODUCT.
I have an oily skin.how do i look fresh %26amp; glow everytime, even in sun?
If you want your skin to glow do not drink soft drinks.Drink water, fruit juice and milk. For oily skin I would use a mild face wash, never put bar soap on your face,do not put anti-bacterial soap on your face.I would buy a toner and use once or twice per day to get the excess oil off of the face, use with a cotton ball. Or you could use hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball.Just make sure to NOT get the peroxide on your hair or hair line. For a scrub once or twice per week, scrub your face with baking soda.Pour some baking soda in the palm of your hand, add a little water, scrub face, rinse. It will help to remove dead skin.

Chicken skin.......?
i have this problem with my under arm, what can you recommend to remove this,(chicken skin)..is there any chance for that?thanks.......
Chicken skin.......?
I have this problem too and I've discovered that taking a multi-vitamin every day helped dramatically. (These bumps are caused by lack of vitamin A, but taking just the A alone can cause other whacked out side effects, so the multivitamin is the perfect dosage that you need.) Also, I am sure to exfoliate the area every other day or so with a mild exfoliator, and moisturize well. (I use Olay Quench because I love it, and it had definately smoothed out the area.) Give it a try, and good luck!!

Reply:Hello,
I have been where you are., searching for the right skincare routine. It wasn't until I experimented with a natural approach (and the tweaking of my eating plan) that I've seen long-term results. You don't need commercial skincare products to treat wrinkles, age spots, and puffy under eyes.
Natural (and cheaper) alternatives:
1. Age spots: Rub raw lemon juice on the age spots. They will become lighter.
2. Wrinkles: Do you have tumeric powder and sugarcane juice? Mix these two together and apply to wrinkles. Use this 2 times a day. This helps remove wrinkles.
3. Puffy eyes: Use virgin olive oil under the bone of your eye everynight. Also, place raw potato slices over your eyes for 15-20 minutes.
I hope that helps you out. If you need any more assistance, please feel free to email me.

How to I manage peeling skin?
I just got back from vacation and I was under the sun for a long time, and now my skin is peeling off. Is there a way to expediate the peeling because I don't want to have dead skin on my face whenever I go out. Is there a way to hide it? I just want to know if the peeling is normal and why the skin peels. Thanks!
How to I manage peeling skin?
If your face doesnt hurt from the sun burn anymore, you should buy an exfoliant and exfoliate twice a day. No more than that though. Usually I only reccomend exfoliation 3-4 times a week, but it will knock off the dead skin and increase your skin cell turn over rate. Also, invest in a deep moisturizer and apply at least twice a day to entire face.
How to I manage peeling skin?
Lotion keeps the skin moisturized and minimizes the peeling.
Should've worn that sunscreen!
Reply:I had sun burn really bad and I used something by neutrogena that really worked. You need to keep it moisturized otherwise you will keep peeling

I'd rather use pure vitamin e rather than use products formulated for under eye area but I don't want the skin to sag or get worn out b/c of heavy product.

Vitamin E oil too heavy to use under eye for wrinkles?
It's too heavy to penetrate the outer layer of your skin.
It can do more harm than good.
Find a natural eye cream....there are plenty of them out there.
Reply:i would recommend an eye cream rather than pure vitamin E oil...coz its too heavy... castor oil is good as well...

I need help with a skin question...?
There are 4 people in my household plus a baby, they all have some sort of skin rash (except me) They have scab like things under there armpits on there arms and legs. We've all had our hands in a bit of water due to bathing the baby, sterilizing and washing baby bottles, plus the daily showers and dishes. They've been to the pharmacist to see if they know what it is and they said scabbies. But that's impossible because 1. I don't have it, 2. they haven't been around anyone with scabbies to catch it and 3. there's no burrow like things in the skin. So is there a chance that it's eczema?
I need help with a skin question...?
As awful as it sounds, please don't dismiss the possibility that it is scabies. You can't see them. They are microscopic and produce the scab like areas you describe. I would trust a pharmacist in many cases as much as I would trust an MD. After I read your question I Googled scabies pictures. Some of them are graphic, but the pictures and information will help you better decide if this is really what your family might be suffering with. Good luck.
I need help with a skin question...?
If they have all acquired it at the same time it is not eczema. It could be an allergic dermatitis and your body is not reacting to whatever their bodies are. Have you all been using any new products such as detergents, soaps, lotions etc..?

My dog has bumps near her nose, but I don't think it's a skin problem. Maybe something on the bone?
My dog is a shetland sheepdog. She has had one bump on her nose her whole life. She is currently five years old and I have noticed more bumps near her nose. They do not look like results of skin irritation, or feel like it, but I can't be sure. Perhaps it's something that has to do with aging? When I looked under the fur to look at the bumps, the skin looked normal like the rest of the skin around her nose.

I have a Golden Retreiver, and she has the same things, just on her head. They (according to my vet) are just bumps due to aging. They are there, they don't hurt them, and will probably not go away.

What is the best foundation for oily skin?
IM 14 and my skin is pretty oily. My acne is about 80% under control but I still need some coverage. I need a foundation that looks natural and doesn't look cakey and matches my skin. Something that also can cover up redness from my acne medication would be nice too... I want my skin to just look clean and clear. I've tried soo many foundations inlcuding Bobbi Brown (seeps into pores too much) MAC (causes breakouts), Cargo, Lorac, and Benefit and had problems with all of them. I'm beggining to lose hope so any suggestions?
What is the best foundation for oily skin?
Estee Lauder Double wear. Amazing much?
Bare Minerals is only for people who have almost perfect skin. It's just to polish the face, not to actually cover.
You should only wash your face twice a day. Exceeding that will cause your skin to flake. Gross.
What is the best foundation for oily skin?
Well definately stay away from liquid foundation if you have oily skin. Have you tried Bare Minerals or any other mineral make up? I can only recomend Bare minerals because that is the only mineral make up i have actually tried, but i love it!! It defenitely works great for me and its actually good for your skin.
Reply:Yah well i suggest u wash ur face 10 times a day it worked for me. I used to have the same problem. Also u should try preperation H it's worked miracles. You can get it at any local store like cvs just ask at the register.
Reply:I'm guessing you have oily and sensitive skin. Try powder foundations and those that are oil-free and are hypo-allergenic. I'm using Clinique(powder foundation) right now and I've a combination/oily skin. It looks great on me. Try that. :)
Reply:SPend 2 bucks on the following, you will be glad you did:
1. sample of the green concealer at LAminerals.com
2. sample of the HOllywood mineral foundation, same place.
The concealer is also a mineral powder, so will not aggravate your acne or make it worse. The Hollywood mineral foundation covers GREAT and lasts all day.
All their ingredients are non-comedogenic. Plus they don't put talc (clogs pores), or bismuth oxychloride in theirs.
Bare minerals and sheer cover use bismuth, which can also irritate your skin.
I'll give you a great link I found that rates ingredients. Knowledge is power!

How to Get Dewy, Glowy skin?
What are some skin care products and makeup that are relatively affordable (under $50 USD) that give you that dewy and glowing skin famous among stars like Nicole Kidman, Emmy Rossum, Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder, Rose McGowan, Keira Knightly, Mischa Barton, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Mandy Moore.
How to Get Dewy, Glowy skin?
I believe most of their dewy, glowy skin are results of many layers of super high end cosmetics such as concealor, foundation and all that stuff. plus, they have all the money they want to have facials, botox injections etc. u never know. i think that it is best to maintain a good complexion by eating more fruits and vegetables to get more vitamins, and drink more water as well. Use a good cleanser, toner and moisturizer every night.
How to Get Dewy, Glowy skin?
these girls are rich and can afford to be painted up. Natural you need to eat leafy greens, they give you the glow and Beta Carotene will help it too.
Reply:the glow most likely starts before the makeup. to make skin glow, use an exfoliator (face scrub) once a week and moisturize religiously with an oil free lotion such as clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel (about $23 or less)(something i cannot live without). as for makeup, i imagine using a light liquid foundation would give you a dewy look without smothering your face in product. basically, by caring for your skin well and not overdoing the foundation, you will be on your way to beautiful skin. also, remember to drink lots of water. good luck
Reply:Well, don't go out in the sun... because all of those women have fair complexions and are very white skinned. I'd just say moisturizer for the entire body, if you want a shiny look, then baby oil.
Reply:I agree with the answer about exfoliating once or twice a week, because it removes dead skin %26amp; makes you look so much healthier. It's true stars have more money to spend on skincare, but there are plenty of products out there that will give you the same look. A light foundation is a must, because anything heavy will get rid of your natural skin tone %26amp; will cover up your skin's glow. I use Paul %26amp; Joe Light Cream Foundation from Sephora ($36). It's really light %26amp; doesn't make you look like you're wearing makeup. Also, buy a shimmery powder you can dust across your cheeks for a glowing look. Something sheer will make your face sparkle %26amp; look very natural at the same time. You can also buy foundations with a light sparkle or tint to them that add glow to your skin. Definitely look at Sephora's products - they can be a little pricey but I've found a few excellent products to add to my less expensive ones that really make a difference.
Reply:To get that 'dewy skin' instantly, mix a couple of drops of Lorac face luminizer (pearl shade) with your foundation. It's $28, and works like magic. And it's oil-free too.
Reply:'High Beam' from benefit make up. I always use it its the best product In my make up bag, dot in on the cheekbones nose and eyelids then blend it looks really good and natural.

I am 20, with fair skin, auburn hair, and lots of freckles. Is it too early to begin using anti-aging creams?
My skin burns easily, and I have noticed a puffiness under my eyes sometimes. I try to use sunscreen as much as possible now, and I use a daily moisturizer as well. I tried one anti-aging cream, but it started burning as soon as I put it on, and made little red-looking wrinkles under my eyes the next day! Is it too early for me to start using anti-aging creams, or which ones should I use? (I'm 20). Thanks!
I am 20, with fair skin, auburn hair, and lots of freckles. Is it too early to begin using anti-aging creams?
No! Prevention is the best thing you can do for your skin. However, a lot of redheads have sensitive skin...perhaps look for products geared towards sensitive skin.
I am 20, with fair skin, auburn hair, and lots of freckles. Is it too early to begin using anti-aging creams?
Never too early. Im 24 and I use them nightly.
Reply:Yes. Keep clean. Eat right. You'll be okay. Age is a law.
Reply:No but be CAREFUL in the sun, you are at HIGH risk for melanoma. What you do now will save your life in 20 years.
Reply:you sure can if you want to and it might help when you get older, you won't be all wrinkled. I'd always use a sunscreen and nothing that was a firming cream . Don't use a firming cream as it may do more harm than good.
Reply:It's never too early. I started at about 30 and wish I have done it earlier.
Reply:i recommend merill norman cold cream my aunt used it all her life she was red haired and fair and her skin was still perfect when she died in old age
Reply:I don't think it is too early, bit it sounds like you need to stick to the kind made for "sensitive skin." Try the Body Shop. They have awesome natural products and promote Fair Trade.
Reply:you are never too young for good skin care.
good cleansing, a good toner and moisturizer with sunscreen should be sufficient. never sleep with makeup on.
Reply:It is never too early to use anti-aging creams. Go for it...you'll look 30 at 50. There are some great products out there too. Believe it or not, Avon has a very good anti-aging line that is not all that expensive.
Reply:no its never to early. make sure to protect you skin. they say what you do your skin in your 20s shows most drastically when your in your 40s.
Reply:listen to dizynman
Reply:It's not too soon to start to cleanse, tone and moisture daily. I am 27 now and started at your YOu are damaging your skin if you are letting it burn so keep covered up in teh sun.
Reply:Depends one what you are trying to treat or stop, the cream you used previously Im guessing had Retinol A which is basically a high dose of Vitamin A, you will find most anti-aging creams have some form of this or an acid in them, this is to encourage faster exfoliation and also get deep into the skin.
If you have sensitive skin try to opt for something a little more natural all of the big brands anti-aging cream will have Retinol in or some form of acid and it sounds to me like you should avoid these, instead opt for a daily moisturise that has a sunscreen in it and use a deep moisturising cream over night, or try something like Fade Away, this uses Latic Acid which is more gental on the skin than say Glycolic Acid.
Clinique is a good brand to try but it isnt cheap on the upside though it lasts forever.
Reply:You are definitely not too young, and I suggest a different brand. Some good brands are lancome, clinque, ask a dept. store, and they will help you too. By the time you are 70 you will look younger if you start using creams and stuff now.
Reply:all the anti aging creams for the most part are like waxes that hold in the water that Ur body expels giving u the idea that wow the wrinkles are gone while in reality its just you retaining water..
the only thing u can do again wrinkles and aging is sun block and keep moisturizing as much as possible ...u might wanna use vitamin E creams and aloe Vera
Reply:Nope. Staying healthy and eating right is the best way to keep from looking aged, but moistureizer is always good.
Reply:Nah, I don't think you need to try those yet. You don't use anti-aging creams at you're age. I don't think it's a product you're supposed to use at a young age as a way of keeping you're youthful look. Women use it when they start to see a couple of wrinkles on their face and it makes your skin feel tighter. Keep yourself maintained by doing healthier things for your mind, body and soul. Excersise, eat right and always get good sleep is the trick to staying young
Reply:It will never be too early to take anti aging precautions, especially for ladies, because woman will start to grow older from 23. In fact, after looking at your product, I found that you don't need to apply anti-aging cream, which is just cure your outlook and not totally cure when you stop using the product. What you need is Arginie, which is the only solutions that can cure you.

Try a dark purple and a lilac eyeshadow. I have dark brown eyes too and it always helps lighten them up. Also, stay away from black mascara, instead go with a brown color.

Dead skin! help!?
how do i get dead skin build up off mt feet? it's right under my big toes! i've tried scrubbing it but it didn't work! help me please!!
Dead skin! help!?
Soak your feet in a medium sized bowl of milk to soften and moisturize skin and use a pumice stone while they're still soaking in the milk. Soak your feet for about 10 minutes before scrubbing.
Dead skin! help!?
Pumas stone, Creedo blade or a professional pedicure.
Reply:Soak your feet then use a pumice stone on them. They are pretty cheap at Wal Mart, Target, etc.~

Has anybody tried this new product bare minerals make up is it good for oily skin?
also about the skin care for oily skin what best I have tried every product under the sun. thanks
Has anybody tried this new product bare minerals make up is it good for oily skin?
like many other people on here, i will never go back to traditional foundations again. i think bare minerals actually works BETTER on oily skin than on dry skin. i love this stuff so much i could be a spokeperson for it! try it and then you'll see.
Has anybody tried this new product bare minerals make up is it good for oily skin?
I use it currently and it's GREAT for oily skin. I use Oil of Olay products for oily skin, they work well.
Reply:dont use it- use physicans formula. its the same thing only cheaper and yes it workx for oily skin git phys. form. @ Target
Reply:I've tried bare minerals and I really like the line. I have a little bit of rosacea and it covers it without irritating my skin. If you buy from Sephora you can get a starter kit for a very reasonable price.
Reply:Bare Minerals is awesome. I use it every day now. my skin is so oily that wet foundations would just rub off after a little while but bare minerals stays on and looks more natural than all of the other foundations I have used. not to mention that its soooo much faster to apply! I love it!!!
Reply:i use it and i love it me and my mom both have oily skin an it works great for both of us
Reply:I use Bare Naturals from Loreal Paris... Just as good but it's like 12 bucks @ Wal-Mart.

鈾?br>Reply:it works fantastically!! I would highly reccomend it. I would not use the other types of make up because they put artificial oils and particals in it, and it eats your skin, and causes skin damage and pores!
Reply:it makes you pretty!!
Reply:its good, but depending on your skin your skin can have allergic reactions to some of the ingredients. the product has been known for certain skin types to be allergic to it. try it for a couple weeks and if it doesnt work take it back.
Reply:I love Bare Minerals! It works very well with my skin, which is combination with a tendency towards sensitive. It doesn't cause me to break out or clog my pores (and i've even slept with it on a few times...which is not ideal i realize but a great test of this product), plus it has tremendous staying power.
For oily skin i would recommend using products with salicydic acid and/or retinol, and don't forget to moisturize with an oil-free lotion. If you try to dry your skin out too much by overwashing (more than 2x a day) or not moisturizing it properly it will overcompensate by producing even more oil.
Reply:I heard just positive opinion about it.

I use it currently and it's GREAT for oily skin. I use Oil of Olay products for oily skin, they work well.

Reply:Bare Minerals is awesome. I use it every day now. my skin is so oily that wet foundations would just rub off after a little while but bare minerals stays on and looks more natural than all of the other foundations I have used. not to mention that its soooo much faster to apply! I love it!!!

Reply:You need to get a stone , to get it off. Revlon I think has foot kits.
Reply:pumice stone
salicyclic acid cream
Reply:Use salt scrub, then follow up with a pumice stone.
Reply:This works for me ,i soak in the tub .not only my feet but my entire body i exfoliate with a scotch scrub pad the one that has scruff on one side and sponge on the other as your skin softens i scrub it with the rough side rinse and repeat ,you will be amazed how well it works.keep repeating and it will all be gone after a while and after ever other shower or bath after a while youll be rid of it and use baby oil or lotion afterwards youll love it and it feel good,in no time youll be able to keep it managed

Acne / skin firmness?
I am an 18 year old male and had some acne on my forehead that i popped, that i shouldn't have. The acne has subdued but has left me with some scarring. I was wondering if having and pooping spots could affect the firmness of of skin (on my forehead) and if my skin will return back to normal? i had it for under a year, and know now not to pop any i do get...also, can popping leave dents/cause dents in the actual skull bone, not just the skin? i have had some spots that scabbed over and left pinkish scars behing which are now brownish and have still not gone after a few months! how long do they take to fade and what can i do to even out my skin tone to match the ret of my skin which is good? sorry for all the questions and thanks for ne replys!
Acne / skin firmness?
Depending on the color of your skintone whether your caucasian , asian, south african etc. background. If your caucasian you have nothing to worry about. If your the latter you may have keloid scarring depending on the severity of the extractions. Keloid scarring is very difficult to treat. When treating pimples, if your tempted to extract them, do so in a hygienic, gentle manner and use an antiseptic cream after to prevent infection.
Piercing the skin is like opening a wound, and needs to be treated like one. Therefore it takes time and patience for a wound to heal, sometimes an end result is scarring. There are some very effective methods out there in helping treat scars such as laser, dermabrassion and facial peels. I believe laser would be most effective.
With present acne, its best to take good care of the skin using a gentle watersoluble cleanser (eg. cetaphil) avoid using those harsh acne cleansers such as clearasil as they tend to make things worse and dry out the skin, and treating current acne with an active ingredient such as 2.5 or 5% benzoyl peroxide (eg. panoxyl). For preventative measures using an spf 15/30+ suncream prevents noticeable scaring and hyper-pigmentation due to the extractions, the UV rays do not help at all when it comes to wound healing.

There is a small bump above my eye,It is slightly raised, small, skin colored, and wont pop, is it a skin tag?
It is just a teensy little bump. It actually looks like a zit, but it is the color of my skin. It wont pop, and my dad even tried at it. It doesnt bother me or hurt or anything. It is just there. Also, it has been there for a little under a year now. I thought it was a skin tag, but it sounds like it isn't. Doesn anyone have any idea as to what it is?

i had a bump just like that on my eyelid too. It stayed like that for a few months and then it actually formed a "tag". When it did, I just took finger nail clippers and clipped it off no problem at all. You might just have to leave it alone for a while and see what happens.

is it a sty? Does it hurt? You might have to get it lanced by a doctor if it is.
Reply:it could be a sty or a chalazion. A chalazion is a lump in the eyelid that is caused by inflammation of a gland within the skin. Typically, this lump grows over days to weeks and is occasionally red, warm, or painful.

I wanna get lighter skin?
I wanna get lighter skin because now that summer is almost here I'm gonna roast in the sun. I already have dark skin and I don't like it. It doesn't match me at all. Is there a cheap product that's under 20 bucks that I can buy to get my skin lighter?
Plz no BS about how I should just like my skin color and go with the flow because I don't
I wanna get lighter skin?
wear sunscreen and ask some pharmacies or skin care specialists if they have any products or methods that could make your face appear more lighter and brighter becaus i have seen some creams in the pharmacy i go to that make you lighter
I wanna get lighter skin?
You poor child.
Reply:the only thing you could do is wear lots of sun screen, like 45 or higher
Reply:i would mess with any kind of chemicles to lighten your skin, just try some sort of scrub lotion/saop your skin is constanly replacing itself sheding off the old cells, so maybe the scrub would help speed up that process. on a lighter note i was in the marines ( always had a dark tan) and got put on a navy ship I work 7 pm to 7 am every day after a month i was white as a ghost i never saw the sun the whole month.
Reply:Call Michael Jackson, though I don't think his method is under $20.00 bucks.
Reply:Two words:
MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!
Don't do it, silly! You are beautiful the way the Good Lord planted ya!
Reply:I agree with Veronica...you poor child!
Reply:Hey, I don't know if you can lighten your skin, but you can keep it from getting darker by wearing sunscreen, spf of 45 and higher and applying it all day (every 2-3 hours) so no sun can seep through. Also, make sure to wear hats and light cover up clothes. I work for Neutrogena so I would suggest are spray on sunscreen so you can keep it wherever you go and spray it every few hours on your exposed skin. You know the only thing is just stay away from the sun when you can...it should keep you from getting darker...

yeah,go to the dollar store and get you some palmers skin whitening cream for 4 or 5 dollars. be careful not to put it under your eyes they would look like black eyes, and try not to go in the sun while you have it on your face cause it will cook. good luck, that stuff is powerful
I WANNA GeT LIGHTER SKIN?
likas papaya soap. 95% chance of working, i've read many great reviews about this soap before but it takes time for it to work. I bought one for around $3 a bar but it's much cheaper if you get it where it's originally from, philippines. note the soap is for the body, some people use it for their faces too but it might be too harsh for the face skin, imo. you could try, I guess. papaya soap is more effective than using whitening cleansers.
Reply:I know someone who does that cream stuff.
Dont bother.. it doesnt work well.
Just try to enjoy it.. theres nothing cheap that works.

What is the best way to protect skin and hair at beach & swimming pool ?
Does anyone know a product or a way to keeps hair soft and shiny while under attack of chlorine , salted warter and sun?
Keep skin smooth and hydrated ?
Thank you !
What is the best way to protect skin and hair at beach %26amp; swimming pool ?
Ok this may seem wierd but I will tell it will produce positive results. Eggs and a little bit of beer along with your regular shanpoo's and conditioners of course will make your hair extremly soft and shiny as far as your skin go's always wash off the pool or sea water any time imeaditly after getting out of the water, Any kinda of soap that exfoleyates (can't spell) because inreturn this will make your skin soft.

Just work some conditioner into your hair first. Wash it out later on. Don't know about the skin care side of it though - sorry.
Reply:swimming cap
Reply:put some vaseline on your face and some olive oil on your hair and tie back. no one will notice it
Reply:swimcap and sunscreen
Reply:Yes, vasaline works very nicely. No will notice at all. Use a swimming cap also. The olive oil is something I'm not sure of, but I imagine that would not work bad.
Reply:Keep away from those swimming pools, you have sea or an ocean. All the chemicals they put inside of it are really bad plus imagine how many people do their thing in that pool you don't want to be swimming in someones *****.
Reply:for skin you can try to use NIVEA brand by applying the cream before you go for sunbathing or swimming. They have special cream for protecting the skin from sun.
for hair, yes, you can use the swimming cap. after swiming or under the sun, there's also shampoo that is for protecting you hair from the sun. you can check it out at the store near you.

Use whitening products with any of the proven effective and safe ingredients: arbutin, licorice, kojic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, Vit. C, retinoic acid.
You should stretch out your budget a little more because faster results will be seen if you have a whitening soap, cream and lotion.
Ponds and Nivea have a wide range of whitening products. Look them up and choose what fits your budget.
Don't forget to apply sunblock 20-30 minutes prior to sun exposure.

Good skin... tips for u and me...?
I 'm going to list some good skin tips on here and other people can too its just like all of us brainstorming *and helping each other out* for ways to better skin.
Sleep always helps, sleep helps everything. Like the bags under your eyes will just fade away
Drinking lots of water and eating veggies are good for your skin
Wearing spf's in moisturizers are too
Washing it daily will help (no duh)
A cold spoon will help with under eye circles
Don't use body soap
Don't touch your face too much too keep it less oily
Same with your hair in your face
Using visine on red pimples can take away the redness like it does for eyes
DONT PICK OR POP THEM
Good skin... tips for u and me...?
Using milk or yogurt on your face will reduce redness and make your skin softer and smoother. This is because of the lactose.
Toothpaste isn't really that good for your skin, as it can actually irritate and make your skin worst.
Good skin... tips for u and me...?
sleep with ur hair tied back. and change you pillow case atleast once a month. bcuz of the oil
Reply:put cool teabags on your eyes for 10 min to help get rid of bags
Reply:Three words, Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise.

-drink lots of water
-dont drink soda or anything with caffine cuz it makes ur skin really dull
-taking vitamin c helps ur body heal pimples faster
-sleep with ur hair tied back and change ur pillow case weekly to remove oils left by ur hair

How can i get a perfect under the sun tan, without having myself burned?
I am going on vacation to Jamaica, and i need some advise. I wanted to get tanned, I wanted to naturaly change my skin tone. the problem is when ever i get under the sun, i end up getting burned. How can i get a tan without getting burned, and what tanning lotion should i use that you would recomend?
I also wanted to know when and how long should i stay under the sun?
How can i get a perfect under the sun tan, without having myself burned?
OMG just get an airbrush Tan
How can i get a perfect under the sun tan, without having myself burned?
on the first day, apply lots of high factor sun cream ( the factor is only a multiple of how long you can stay in the sun without burning) and stay out for only a half hour at a time. avoid the sun when it is at its peak, e.g. around midday to 2-3 pm. keep reapplying when you think you might burn, i.e. if you normally burn in twenty minutes, then factor 20 means you can stay out for 400 minutes...but reapply whenever you swim/dress and ideally every half hour to an hour.
on the second day, reduce the amount of sun tan lotion, but follow the same routine. on the third, reduce it more etc etc but never reduce it to nithing! better be safe than sorry
hope this helps a bit :)
Reply:Ever heard of suncream? Its great!
Reply:Have someone sit on the part you don't want to tan. It may even take more than one person to help you tan the parts you are interested in tanning. good luck
Reply:put on the lotion, spread the time spent under the sun, during the entire week, not just one day.
Reply:You lucky dog! Jamaica-wow!!
Seeing as how you"re probably fair-skinned and don't get in the sun often I would suggest a sun screen with at least a spf of 25.
Before going into the sun apply it all over exposed areas of your
body. Don't forget underarms and especially the nose where many people seem to burn the worst. If you go into the water reapply the lotion when you come out as a lot of sun screens are not water proof.
If you think you'll be in the sun for quite a while reapply the lotion often. You can't apply too much. But, it's still a good idea to put on a "T" if you're maybe playing some volleyball or something on the beach. Go it a little at a time. If you try to spend hours in the sun on day one you may just ruin the rest of your vacation. Use caution and a little sense and you'll have a great time there. Have fun!

Does anyone know a dermatologist or surgeon in the UK (or US) who works on black skin?
I have a dark patch on my skin which refuses dissapear, ive tried every cream under the sun to no avail. I spoke to a dermatologist at BUPA but she said that becuase I have black skin laser treatment would make the situation worse, and would only work on white/light skinned people. There must be some solution out there which is why I ask for places in the US if there really is none in the UK. Thanks
Does anyone know a dermatologist or surgeon in the UK (or US) who works on black skin?
Laser treatment on black skin generally leads to much lighter or much darker pigmentation problems occuring, so yes your skin would look alot worse.
If you look hard enough you will find a doc who will do it for you. You will find one on Harley Street, problem is they will make you sign a disclaimer and then when your skin looks really bad you will be left to deal with it.
Do what I did, I had bad scarring on my skin. Go to Boots or Superdrugs and buy this product called Bio Oil. It lasts ages and is 拢5-拢9 depending on what size you get. Rub it into your dark patch twice a day or even 3 times if you are able to.
Give it 2 months and guarantee if your patch aint gone it will be significantly lighter. If you don't believe me go to google and put in the words bio oil and reviews and find some reviews somewhere and read. Anyway it worked for me and I hope it will work for you.
If you are determined to get a treatment of some sort then have a look at this old article for some places you can go...

Your better off looking in Africa or Asia than the US or UK, if bupa have given u that advice then its makes senses to look in that part of the world (also some of the best doctors and experts come from Africa and Asia!)
Reply:Best Dermatologist for african american skin is in Chicago. however, be warned that the dr only sees cancer people, her PA-C is white but is highly knowledgeable on black skin as wel and does the acne/cosmetic dermatology stuff.

How do I post questions in Skin & Body that have nothing to do with tattoos?
The new "Skin %26amp; Body" section sucks! I don't know why, but in the last week Yahoo Answers has set it up so that when you want to ask a question about "Skin %26amp; Body," you're forced to select a category under that heading -- but the only option there is "Tattoos"!
I see that there is still a general "Skin %26amp; Body" section (http://answers.yahoo.com/dir/;_ylt=Agenr...
**So how do I get my questions into that list? i.e. How do I post questions about Skin %26amp; Body that have nothing to do with tattoos?**

All over skin itching with no rash?
It started a couple of weeks ago, on the palms of my hands. Then it went to my head, and then down below, around my lady bits. Now when I get it, it can be anywhere.
I hadn't been out in about 3 days so I can't of caught it off anybody.
Anyway, the itching was driving me mad, after 2 days and I took some allergy tablets .I bought over the counter and they went. If I stop taking them the itching starts again.
Now, I have no rash whatsoever. Or at least not at first.
About 2 weeks after I looked at my hands and 2 of my fingers were covered in little lumps, tiny, and the same colour as my skin, not red or anything. After a few more days again they disappeared and now the skin is just a bit rough.
I have been under a lot of stress lately and I dyed my hair a day or 2 before this started. Although I didnt touch the dye with my hands as someone else did it for me.
any ideas???
All over skin itching with no rash?
it could still be the dye. as i'm sure you washed your hair in the shower and you touched it with bare hands. my mother is a cosmotologist, and she'll along with any cosmo could tell you that your dye can bleed for a few washes after dying it that is how you would get it on your hands, and if you touched your "lady bits" with your hands afterwards you could have transfered it that way. though i'm not a doctor, so i'm just giving my opinion. but i would talk to a doctor about it if you're truly worried and it's been close to a week and you still can't stop taking the alergy pills.
All over skin itching with no rash?
could it be menopause?
Reply:It could be an allergic reaction since it just started after you dyed your hair. I had some bumps like that a few weeks ago. They were really itchy and mainly on my hands and neck. The doctor said it was Rosatia or something like that. Its a type of heat rash. Benadryl made them stop itching, but there is another medication that is specifically for that. I don't remember what it is called though. It took them like two weeks to go away without the medicine.
Reply:did you eat anything different? It sounds like an allergy. If it continues I would see a Dr soon. Did you buy a different soap to wash clothes in or body soap..... Try this take a bath in luke warm water with about a cup and a half of heinz vinegar (the dark brown one) it helps with any type of skin disorder. Even wash your hair and rinse it with Heinz vinegar. I always use vinegar on my hair and in my bath to keep my skin healthy and super clean. Good luck
Reply:hi , i had same problem and my doctor told me that stress can cause chemicals to react in the body which can cause itching
Reply:it could poison ivy, some types r the make the bums the same color as ur skin and don't show up untill like a week after u came in contact with it. I have this kind in my backyard and it sucks but just use some poison ivy care stuff from a localdrugstore and it will go away if it is poison ivy or oak.
Reply:You could have contact dermatitis. Did you start using a new detergent, soap, shampoo, or anything else? I would try something like Benedryl cream and if it persists after clearing up with Benedryl tablets and.or cream, I would go to the doctor. It could be something simple that is easily fixed with a prescription cream or tablet. You could also try the web site www.JustAnswer.com/health. You can talk to a dermatologist or nurse online and see if they have any suggestions. Good luck.
Reply:It can be a few different things actually. I believe your skin had an allergic reaction to the hair dye. This happend to me. Try hydrocordasome cream rub it in your scalp at night after you washed you hair keep your hair wet and rub it on your neck it will go away in a few days.

Reply:either an allergy or exema
Reply:I would go an see your G.P .Calamine lotion is brilliant for severe itching,it's what they recommend for chicken pox.
Reply:u can never be too sure.
If in the next 2 weeks the problems persist u should see a doctor.
It might be just something to do with the dye or the heat.
I'm not sure of that but I think are similar symptoms for a sexual transmited disease....but NOT sure.

My plan for a healthy skin?
Hi :D
im a 15 year old girl who cares alot about her health.
snice its summer break and all i went to sleep overs the movies and the beach and i ate alot of bad food :(
can you tell me if this plan will make my face clear of blimeishes, acne, redness and dryness..
daily routine:
1) 5 glass of water (thats all i can take for water)
2) 2 servings of homemade grapefruit and lemon juice ((no added suger or coloring)
3) a cube of aloe vera (natural the very nasty tasting thing!! ))
4)40 minutes of streching and excerices and and hour of walking.
will this work under 2 weeks??
and people tell me why my skin looks even more worse when i wake up late??
:(
My plan for a healthy skin?
Healthy lifestyle is part of a good skin care plan, but it's not all.
Blemishes are caused by hormones, genetics, bacteria, oil, etc.
You skin will look better if you hydrate, eat foods with antioxidants, and get plenty of sleep. But I suggest you use a good face wash, sunscreen, and a night moisturizer.
Clinique is good for young skin.
My plan for a healthy skin?
im not sure about that but i do know this is a very good routine for both morning and night. first wash you face with any wash you choose. the apply toner to your face. then astrigent (clean and cear makes both toner and the astrigent) on any pimples or things like that you have. just dont rub it on your skin, sort of like pat it with a cotton ball (for both toner and astrigent) then end with an oil free moisterizer.

Really big skin problem with acne?
My skin drys out REALLY easily. I can't use the same product once and do it the next day again. Yet under that is like somewhat bumpy, but not....like discolered skin and I have a few pimples around to. NOTHING works. All kinds of skin products.....no help. Not even AcneFree. My skin seems to be worse in different lighting......or better. Is this really acne? Should I get Proactiv? Is the lighting thing just my pores?
Really big skin problem with acne?
Well, I used to have that problem to, only mine was too oily. I have this oil free face wash that makes it even oilyer, maybe you want to try that. It is amber colored and has a white pump! and you can try clear-a-sil astringent. that's what i use.
Really big skin problem with acne?
try turn around creme from clinique(it is also moisturizing) and every once in a while use an acne creme to sluff off dead skin
worked for my sensitive face
Reply:i believe it is some type of acne i cant judge because i cant see it. Maybe you should try proactiv. Or try a skin lightning lotion for your face. Did you ever try Nozxema? or Neutrogena? They work.
Reply:yes u should it the acne product that is sweeping the nation world wide.
Reply:On a lot of acne products (probably all of them) it says the product may cause peeling or drying, and if that happens you can decrease the use to once a day or every other day.
Reply:I think you're being too critical of yourself! Just go to the dermatologist or something and you might want to try Proactiv. I used Proactiv and it stopped working after awhile. -_- But...you'll find something! ;-)
Just quit saying this: NOTHING works.
If you keep on saying NOTHING WORKS, nothing will work!
Reply:Drying of the skin usually occurs even more with products that contain Salicylic Acid, that's why when you use acne products they recommend for you to use sunscreen. Proactive really didn't work for me, on the contrary i broke out even more. You should see a dermatologist.
Reply:Although many people will suggest Proactive, it is pretty harsh on your skin. It has so many chemicals in it that it will even bleach towels, etc - so, imagine what it's doing to your skin! I've also heard from many friends that once you stop using it, the acne gets even worse - some of my friends even started having acne on parts of their face where they didn't start out having it!
A more gentle approach to treating and preventing acne while getting smoother skin, more radiant skin is using Clinique products. They have a three step system equivalent to that of Proactive but MUCH more gentle and more efficient (it just recently came out, and is getting rave reviews!). They also have another 3-step system that you can use - a Clinique salesperson can help you choose which is better. They also have trial products of both (meaning smaller packages that you can purchase, or free trial sizes), so you can try them out risk free (if you're not satisfied, you CAN return the purchased product)!
So, I would try with a more gentle product first :)
Best of luck! :)
Reply:wow. i have the exact same problem that you do. i just bought acnefree today, but i havent tried it yet. ive been using proactiv for the last 3 months and have seen NO improvement. It was a huge waste of money for me...!
good luck!!!!!!
Reply:As per a report many anti-acne products are known to worsen rosacea symptoms. Medical experts strongly urge rosacea sufferers to stop using these products.
Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects many Americans, but it can also spread to the eyes and cause a constant gritty, burning sensation.
I have been in search a product that works on my skin, I finally found it on one of acne rosacea review site. I use ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin, and I saw results in weeks!
I recommend to go for ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin once. Cheers
Reply:I used to have an acute case of acne when I was younger for many years; it covered my face, back, chest and posterior. I eventually healed myself without the use of drugs. I cured myself through DIET.
-This is what you should avoid/elminate:
fried foods
White bread/flour
starch combinations during the same meal (e.g. potatoes and pasta)
soda/carbonated drinks
sugar/corn syrup
meat/dairy
soft foods (processed foods)
hydrogenated oils (in processed foods)
-you should increase your intake of:
fruits/vegetables, preferably organic (you should have a salad a day, at the least)
8 glasses of water a day
whole foods
black and/or brown bread (whole grains)
nuts
-you should have a balance, of 80% alkaline forming foods, to 20% acid forming foods. (mostly fruits and vegetables)
-----
Basically, your eliminations are poor/sluggish; thats is why some people can get away with eating badly, but you may not. The reason changing your diet to the foods below will help is because your eating foods that are much easier to digest and elminate than those above.
I would check out Edgar Cayce; without his advice I would probably still suffer today.
He also said you can help yourself through osteopathic adjustments to your spine, he said this can create imbalances in your nervous system (if it isn't in proper adjustment) which will affect everything else. I haven't done this yet, as it is expensive; but I assume when I do, I will be able to better digest the aforementioned foods. Through DIET ALONE I have been cured for a number of years.
Don't believe the people who say it doesn't effect it, I swear to god this will help. It helped me. =) good luck!
Just so others are aware, I'm copy/pasting this to others, so they can get advice, because I have been there. i'm not selling or advertising for anyone or anything, i'm not spamming. don't think that, if you see this advice elsewhere.
Reply:Ifyour skin is getting red hue, it may be rosacea.

Foundation/skin types I have combination oily skin. I can't seem to find the right foundation.?
My skin isn't too oily but it does fall under normal/oily. Even if I buy drugstore or department store foundation it always feels heavy or like I have something on my face.
Any brand suggestions would be great and so would links.
Thanks in advance.
Foundation/skin types I have combination oily skin. I can't seem to find the right foundation.?
Estee Lauder Equalizer works well for me. It is not too heavy if I apply it lightly, with a sponge. When I have a break-out I use more. Heavier foundations make me break out and lighter foundations are not enough when I am having a bad skin day, so I get you :)
Foundation/skin types I have combination oily skin. I can't seem to find the right foundation.?
Try Lancome foundation. You can get it at any department store, like Macy's or Dillard's.They have all different kinds for different skin types. The person that usually works the counters can help you find your right shade and type and if you ask she will probably give you a sample to try it out.
Reply:Have you tried the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious. This is the only one that I recommend. Most foundations have bismuth which is a heavy metal. that may be why it feels heavy. Bee-Luscious has never had bismuth in any of their products. I believe you will be very surprised at the results. I was and I too had used everything. Oh links. I will post it below.

Reply:bare minerals by bare escentuals works on all skin types. try it out for yourself at any sephora, ulta, macy's, or nordstrom store, to see, how it feels on your skin, before making a decision.the full size foundation costs 25.00 and lasts me about one year. the starter kits (i prefer the "original" one) are 60.00, and last 2-3month. www.bareescentuals.com, ww.ulta.com, www.sephora.com.
Reply:aularale.com/7002 is your answer. The foundation matches your skin tone, does not look ashy or gray, and is not heavy on the face. Just use a q-tip to get the perfect amount - dab forehead, chin, nose and both cheeks. Blend w/wedge, powder and you're good to go!

Help with skin tag!?
I have one under my tongue and looks like a piece of triangular skin protruding from the place where you put a thermometer under the tongue when you are sick. Is it an ulcer or a skin tag? What should I do now? Does it go away by itself?
Help with skin tag!?
I've never heard of someone having a skin tag in the mouth under the tongue. You should probably have your doctor check it out, it could be an ulcer.
Help with skin tag!?
no it doesn't go away by itself
only your doctor can remove it safely
Reply:Eww! Bet your not a good kisser. Get the sissors on it! Nah just kidding. If you've always had it, it's not an ulcer. It would have gone by now.
Reply:you have to go to the doctor or dentist and get it removed.Just dont worry though they'll give you something for the pain

The skin eather side of my dads eyes os becoming darker, not sleepy dark, pigmented dark? Reasons please?
My dads skin is tanned, but he is white. His dad is black, but my dad only gets curly hair from him. Now my dad is 42 and the skin on eachside of his eyes (not underneath) like under where the end of an eyebrow ends, or if you have glasses about half way down the 'arms'. My mum recons that its just becoming more pigmented with old age, but my dads worried. I dont want him to go wacko jacko on me, cause he's talking about bleaching the dark spots away! Ahhhh! Please, does anyone know what this is? Thankyou!
The skin eather side of my dads eyes os becoming darker, not sleepy dark, pigmented dark? Reasons please?
The skin around the eyes is very thin. Sometimes, blood vessels become inflamed and appear very clearly under the thin skin. For this, he should cut back on any caffeine and/or alcohol.
Other times, nasal congestion is the problem - - if the nose is congested, veins that usually drain from your eyes into your nose become dilated and darker.
Still another reason could be more serious and due to digestive and endocrine issues - - there may be problems with the liver or kidney and the amount of toxins in the body. If you're into natural remedies, there are a number of herbal cleanses at any health food store in your area.
Now, whether your father only received certain traits from his father, he is still Black and darker pigmentation around his eyes could just be hereditary.
By all means, he should seek medical advice - - always better to play it safe!

Skin & Fake Tanning?
I have horrible skin, and it looks absolutely dreadful (pale and oily) under strong light. To add to this problem, i have bad tan lines (my legs and arms are a lot darker than anywhere else).
I have heard that fake tan would fix my tan lines, but i'm afraid that the fake than might seem slightly orangy compared to my natural tan spots. What do you think?
Oh and would fake tan also help my skin look better?
Skin %26amp; Fake Tanning?
i dont think a fake tan will improve your skin tone try some exfoilates to help with the oily areas. also what are ur tan lines from? if its from say a sport try wearing sun screen on your arms and legs for awhile and then go get the fake tan or tan outside. and depending on the quality of your fake tan and your skins reacton may depend on the outcome. like cheap lotion may make you look orange or streaky
i just want to add this if your legs and arms are naturaly darker then i dont think that a fake tan will make it darker it prob just even your paler areas out
Skin %26amp; Fake Tanning?
I would go find a tanning salon that offers Mystic Tanning-- I do it all the time, and it is MUCH healthier than fake baking... It leaves a really pretty glow and is NOT orange! Make sure to run it in when you are done, the tanning person should tell you directions---I live by it!!!

Reply:Stick with the fake tanning. Tanning beads are bad and you would be an idiot to use one because it a leading cause of skin cancer. I would look around at all the tanning salons in your area in a phone book and phone and ask. Different tanning salons use different stuff. Perhaps if you ask around some friends if they have any recommendations for places either.
Reply:fake bake and st tropez is the best fake self tanners. both are sold at saks. for the best price and NOT tampered with buy them at www.athomeskincare.com and es, it will help your problem!

My plan for healthy skin.?
Hi :D
im a 15 year old girl who cares alot about her health.
snice its summer break and all i went to sleep overs the movies and the beach and i ate alot of bad food :(
can you tell me if this plan will make my face clear of blimeishes, acne, redness and dryness..
daily routine:
1) 5 glass of water (thats all i can take for water)
2) 2 servings of homemade grapefruit and lemon juice ((no added suger or coloring)
3) a cube of aloe vera (natural the very nasty tasting thing!! ))
4)40 minutes of streching and excerices and and hour of walking.
will this work under 2 weeks??
and people tell me why my skin looks even more worse when i wake up late??
:(
My plan for healthy skin.?
Proactive has helped me. IT hasnt conpletely healed my skin, but it has done better than anything I have tried before. Keep drinking water and excersising. sorry i cant be much more of a help since i am fighhting acne myself.
My plan for healthy skin.?
Isagenix has completely cleared up my daughter's skin and made it look awesome. (mine too, but I am 55). Amazing skin care products. You can see it at her website below.
Reply:Okay, Well I use acne pads they only take a second to put on and you dont have to wash it off it also cleans your skin.
Reply:What you plan to do is ok, but CLEANLINESS is far more important for your skin.
Wash twice a day with orange Dial soap, which is an antibiotic. Then once a day (best at bedtime), use a stridex-type cleansing pad. Get an oxy-10 type ointment to apply to any zits.
Be absolutely STRICT about this regimen, and you will have very clear skin. Nothing can guarantee no blemishes, but this is close.
Reply:Also eat lots of fruits and vegetables too.
Try a drop of pure olive oil, for the dryness before you go to bed. It will actually help your blemishes, because it has lots of antioxidents. Don't use during the day, sweat and dirt don't mix well and will make your breakouts worse.
Reply:Eat blueberries, salmon (because they got good fats for your skin), vegetables fruits, also eat fish oil capsules. I swear they are good for your skin + hair. And a good night sleep will help your skin too. Exfoliate your skin once a week will remove dead skin cells, and will matain a glowing skin. Hopefully that will all helps!

Does Lizards Shed their skin?
My mom think there is a snake in our house. she saw some kind of tail craw under our washing machine. and then tonight she finds skin. and it wasa very fresh. is it a lizard or a snake?
Does Lizards Shed their skin?
Yes. Not that this is related to what happened to you but my cats love to chase the lizards and when they put their paws on the tail it separates from the lizard. The tail stays alive for a minute or two. It is funny to see this brownish tail still moving after it is separated from the lizard.
Does Lizards Shed their skin?
snake, a lizzy kinda peels a snake can leave a whole skin the size he is
Reply:Did the skin have a long tubular shape or leg shape to it? If it was a single piece that was kind of short, the only thing I could think of is the a snake has a horizontal stripe along the belly and that pattern would look similar to armor. Where as a lizard would have a less shiny more patterned with a rough skin without that armored look to it!
Does that make sense?! Be careful when trying to removal him if it is a snake. Your best bet is a professional as some snakes are poisonous. Just leave him be, as snakes are harmless and would prefer to run then bite. I would say though if you have the dryer on, the noise may frighten him so where shoes just in case.
If I was a snake or lizard in a cold basement, that's where I would be too! lol!
Reply:snakes will usually shed their entire self in on hit...sometimes tho... lizards usually shed in chunks. if you could link me a pic of the shedding i could be of more help!

How do i get rid of the bags under my eyes?
My skin is wonderful except for those damn bags under my eyes. Am I just doomed to look like I just got back from vacation with all of this extra baggage under my eyes. Please ladies, help a brother out.
How do i get rid of the bags under my eyes?
I once read that one of the beauty secrets of top models is to put Preparation H on those bags, it will help reduce the swelling (that's what Preparation H does!). I've heard that it really works!!! Let us know if you try it!

Reply:cold cucumber pieces also cold aloe and sleep
Reply:Try resting your eyes for 15 minutes everynight with something cold on your eye contour area. If you want to use products. Try using Marcelle brand Eye Contour Cream or Gel. Both are good. Use it twice a day (day and night). You'll definitely notice a difference withing a week. And get plenty of sleep!!! Baggy, dark circle eyes are caused by lack of sleep and eye fatigue!

Reply:ha ha ha, thats funny the way you put that. But seriously all you have to do is go to your local store and get a eye mask, and all you do with that is put it in the freezer and wear it overnight. or for quick fix put in in the freezer for 10 minutes and wear it for another 10. No eye mask? use cucumbers, but don't just refrigerate them freeze them but wrap plastic wrap around them so the coldness won't be directly on your eyes{neither will the cucumber} and do that for about 10-15 min. and you should be all good.

Bags under the eye treatments?
well i want sumint to reduce the bags under my eyes and sumint to make ma face skin glow more, any ideas xx
Bags under the eye treatments?
You need avo treatment...buy avocado, mash it into a bowl and mask your face with it, nice thing about it, its natural kilss dead skin but leaves you skin moist...no side effects, no chemicals etc..., just rinse and use your normal moisturiser. That always does the trick for me after a heavy night of partying.
Bags under the eye treatments?
The very best thing, is to do facial exercises 2-3 times a day.
Miles better than any creams.
Reply:I am now 56 and have bad sleep problems, due to illness. Therefore I have problems with bags and blackness under the eyes. I use Oil of Olay and have since I was in my 20's. Their products are very good and don't cost the earth. I can usually get away with 10 years and people are always surprised that I have a son of 38, daughter of 36 and I was always taken as my grandson's Mum when I used to take him to school. He is now 16. Don't overdo the use of products find one you like and works and stick to it. Your skin can be affected by overuse of products as well.
Reply:I find that cooled tea bags are wonderful for a ten minute eye treatment, and help reduce the swelling and dark circles that come with a night out. Chamomile tea works great on dark circles, and feels good too.
Good luck with your problems, girl!
Reply:This may sound strange but i swear it works! Put preperation H under your eyes ( pile cream) it works wonders! but dont get any in your eye!!
Reply:For very bad bags/dark circles I really would recommend Hylexin cream. It is very expensive, but you only need a little, and I have found it has made a very big difference to my appearance. it's not a miracle - if you have a tendency to bags your eyes will always look a bit puffy - but it's one of the few eye creams that really works for me.

Rotated pinky toe skin hurts...relief?
I have small pinky toes and are sort of turned sideways so that the skin has formed a "pointy ridge" from being vrused under my other toes. It never has bothered me and it doesnt look wierd.
I just started waitressing again and my pinkie toes are KILLING me.,,,the underside of them, the "ridge" part.
Any ideas for relief? It feels good if I pinch it in the opposite direction that the skin has formed...like pushing down the "ridge". It is a bit painful, but the releiving kind of painful.
Will it make it better if I bandage it tightly? Hoe can I "train" my pinky toe to not rotate under my other toe?
Rotated pinky toe skin hurts...relief?
you can try to soak it in warm water wid a little salt in it , try putting moisturizing on it at least twice on it to soften it up

The problem that you have is a callus to protect your toes.
I have had the same problem for years.
Get out of the tight shoes, and if you are allowed in your new job, wear something like a closed in sandal, and purchase some of the thick shoe liners that you can cut to size.
I found the cheaper liners are better than the expensive well known brands.
Check out the $2 type of shops.
Don't bandage, as this will annoy the hell out of you, and all the walking that a waitress has to do. The liners that I use, have rubber that goes against my shoe, and a material against your foot that looks and feels like a soft piece of felt. Anyway enjoy the job, and don't resort to foot baths, as these take all the natural minerals from your system. So a podiatrist informed me.

Why are people always saying that black/extremely dark hair and pale skin is a bad combination?
I have black hair and really pale skin, like it's so light that I can see through my veins. I'm basically translucent. A lot of people in my family have black hair/pale skin... it happens naturally, too. People are always under the impression that if you have really pale skin and dark hair, that you must have dyed your hair.
Why are people always saying that black/extremely dark hair and pale skin is a bad combination?
I've never heard anyone say that.
I think fair skin and dark hair looks very beautiful.

Think Angelina Jolie-bad combination? I think not!
Reply:What on earth for? sounds gorgeous to me!
Reply:I personally don't understand why people think its unattractive to have dark hair and pale skin.
Its so striking and beautiful and it immediately draws your attention to that person.
Think of Rose McGowan...she has extremely pale skin and so many people think shes gorgeous.
A lot of people don't have naturally black hair [unless there Asian, African American, etc]. Maybe there just jealous that you have such a naturally beautiful hair color while they have to waste tons of money on hair dye and highlights.
Be proud of what you have because its definitley gorgeous!
Reply:I thin dark hair and pale skin is beautiful.
Don't listen to what other people have to say about YOUR hair, let them be jealous :)
I think it's just coinciednece...like we only notice dark hair if you have strikingly pale skin, which is nice beacause most people are either brunnette or blonde.
And nowadays, everyone dyes their hair, so people can't actually believe that black hair CAN be natural!

Dark hair-pale skin is just gorgeous..
Generally,it goes like pale skin-blond hair, that must be why people think that u've dyed your hair. But it can be exceptions like you, which passes genetically..You look beautiful, girl.Don't care what people say!
Reply:Who told u that? I think black hair and fair skin is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had that combination. My hair is light brown and my skin is fairish with a tendency to burn and covered in freckles and moles (on shoulders, back and arms).
Don't listen to what other people say... they're just jealous of your beauty.
Reply:I think it's a rare kind of beauty. I would feel lucky if I were you. You must be really beautiful!
Reply:You must be mixed, well you and your family....
